So just been told that mine is at a uk port today but it won't be with me before April and i WILL be paying more monthly due to the tax increase, to make my pain worse there was a black sportback in ebbsfleet car park today,a fellow commuter I presume, did look good
Has it just arrived today? Even so, they should be able to register it now that it is in the UK which would mean that the new VED won't apply.NSS89 said:

I think it arrived today, they said it can't be registered until it's in physical stock whatever that means, they seem very keen just to re quote the price rather than concentrate on getting it registered simonbamg said:

I'd question that if I were you!Mine was registered while it was at the port of Grimsby (Where it sat for over 2 weeks) and then arrived at the dealership a week or so later.
Got my SB delivered last week. Golf R went back on the same day.
Loving it so far, MPG not too bad, did 31mpg on my 25 mile mainly motorway commute to work. Same as the Golf over that stretch.
Gearbox not as responsive as the Golf R but still decent. Interior is very nice, great place to be, seats are very comfortable.
The 19s came with Hankooks, I saw some coupes with Contis on, what have other SB's been delivered with?

What was your build date and how long has it been in Grimsby?
Mine built 6th March and arrived at Grimsby 17th March if 'MyAudi' tracker to be believed. I noticed earlier post about the 2 cut-offs for Audi to pick up VED increase. I've missed the first but am on the cusp of the second.Reckon there's at least 3 of us V4B people waiting on JCT600 Sheffield to pull the cars from Grimsby

Driven three miles so far, commuting a little later today so will add more detail, however:
Exterior: I agonised over Privacy Glass as I believe cars look odd without it. However, not needed on the SB in any colour. I wouldnt spec it again, although looks fine with or without.
Hankook tyres! Wouldnt spec them on my worst enemies car normally, however I am open to be persuaded. Lets see.
Interior: VC, gimmick. I need more time with it obviously so will see how the relationship pans out. Silver dash trim works best with black, glad I didnt spend money on carbon.
MMI has improved massively, a step up from my BMW and worlds apart from previous generation Audi MMI. About time.
More to follow once I have driven somewhere.
Anyone know how to stop it showing MPG everyimt I turn it on? I'd rather not know for now.

Mine came with Hankooks as well. Not the quietest of tires IMO.Loving it so far, MPG not too bad, did 31mpg on my 25 mile mainly motorway commute to work. Same as the Golf over that stretch.

Interesting first thoughts - think privacy is a love hate thing. As for the VC I thought exactly the same and was kinda bored of it after 10 mins of playing. I was sold though when i first used the sat nav in conjunction with the main screen and VC. Exterior: I agonised over Privacy Glass as I believe cars look odd without it. Has anyone on here compared the S5 to its main rivals such as the C43 and the 340/440? I am intrigued given what reviews say, but because the price the S5s are available at on the lease I wasn't going to consider the others anyway.
Not exactly but I drove a 335d xdrive, 330d and a 340i plus test drove a C220d AMG Line Plus. Not really what your asking but it did allow me to decide I dont like the Merc interiors (tacky and dust magnets) and the styling of the coupe makes it look melted (like it sat by the fire too long) with the rear sitting to high. We have a Merc dealer opposite work and one of the guys is driving a C43 - sounds a bit more meaty than the S5 but not much in it. As for the BMW's they are feeling their age and standard equipment is pretty dire but the 340i sounds very nice (better than S5 and C43) in my view and the interior to me was nicer than the Merc. You see the BMW's everywhere though and it just didnt feel special.

As mentioned above, mine came with Hankooks and wish they didn't. I specified the carbon inlays as apparently the silver dash trim marks and dents really easily so be careful! As for the VC? having the large map in front of me is much better to read plus I can see the MMI telephone, music tracks etc at the same time without switching screens. Privacy glass is just a personal preference, but useful in the summer (if we get one). Still averaging 20mpg, but doing a 200 mile motorway run tomorrow so I will see what improvement I get.Exterior: I agonised over Privacy Glass as I believe cars look odd without it.
