There is a ton of stuff you can enable/disable/adjust etc with the latest VAG-COM software on a laptop & a Ross-Tech OBD cable, maybe there is a setting in there to change the LED colours. Not something you want to mess around with unless you are 100% sure and confident of what you are doing though, so best ask your VAG dealer if this can be done (who will charge an arm & leg to do so).

Whoop mine just jumped to status 39 (on the way) in the early hours of today. So that's 5 days between leaving the factory and boarding the ship.
What was your build date?
I really don't understand Audi. You mention your car was 5 days from leaving the factory to getting a boat. Mine has been waiting for a boat since 13th March!
Build date was the 20th. Could it be a regional thing? Mine is going to Audi Newcastle so might be on a different sailing. Their graphic shows Port of Tyne as one of the routes but I'm not 100% sure if it's actually active at the moment. Not having much joy tracking down Emden->Tyne sailings via free tools.
On behalf of all of us with build dates prior to yours with cars sitting at Emden going nowhere, I think I speak for all of us in saying may your underwear be infested by the fleas of 1000 camels. hehe

[gritted teeth]Kidding really, that's great, hope you get it soon[/gritted teeth]

I feel for you, please don't take my joy as me rubbing it in. I had to wait a pointless extra month for my Golf R 2 years ago.

I'm hoping it's on this'n' which just departed this afternoon:

Yeah I had a similar situation (although I think it was two weeks more) where it was sat at Grimsby.

Hehe not quite. It's a manky business park and a dodgy prefab building but to be fair it's the fleet centre and its keys and seeya! Just how I like it lol. There was a chap doing the handover showing functions etc. Decent Guy and to be fair so was Natalie there spot on.

So fleetsauce price update after VED due to audis incompentance, extra £20.70 each month for 2 years, nice!
Ouch!...are you going to take it on the chin or cancel it?
Wish I had a choice I'm without a car at the moment, got to say it's made the experience an unhappy one in the end, not going to break the bank but it's the principle and they way they handled it
They're taking the piss.

The total increase in VED over 2 years is £750.

Not only are they tucking you up for the VED, they're creaming some more off as well.

I'm pissed off on your behalf mate!

ETA: I'm pretty sure this is the VED situation, unless I missed something: It's moving to 1st yr (£500 + £310) + 2nd yr (£140 + £310) and it's currently 1st yr £300 + 2nd yr £210.

No, its only year 2 onwards the £310 applies, not year 1. So its £440. Some sources online suggest its year 1 too but gov.uk says its subsequent years. Which is even more stupid because it taxes more people who buy second hand than the ("rich") people who buy new and only keep a year or two.

What terms are you on? i.e. how much more is it actually costing?

There are definitely two types of rear diffuser according to ETKA, one of them specific to one model code the other specific to a few. No pics to differentiate them as they are just the same number on a drawing with two different part numbers. Unfortunately the model codes mean nothing to me but it appears one goes on lots of different things and one goes on one. That is unless there is one on there for the 3.0tdi that will probably have exhausts at both sides.
I have looked into this more tonight. It would appear that the different diffusers are due to whether the cars have towbar preparation or not (i.e. the extra metal in there if one wanted to get the dealer to fit a towbar).

Not sure who decides whether you get the prep or not!?

Ah ok.

I thought it was £310 each year.

Even more of a con for Simon then.

Open the plastic tab, next to the chassis number is a small silver square. That rubs off.

If they are, then not by very much. Assuming extra VED as said is £440, and assuming a 3+23 @20.70, that's £538.20

However, don't forget VAT. VWFS have to charge you VAT, but there's no VAT to reclaim on VED. £440 plus VAT turns into £528.

I think that's the way VAT works on leases??. HMG must love them because basically you're paying VAT on your VED. Double dipping!

Ah that makes sense and it seems like the sportbacks being 5 door possibly family cars compared to the coupes and they are putting the tow bar prep on them

Wow looks really nice, congrats! Glad the red looks nice as I have chosen that too. Did you go for brilliant black or metallic? I've gone for ibis white but looking at these pictures is making me have second thoughts! (too late to change order now anyways)
