New thread to keep the chat off the main lease deals thread.

I've ordered a Sportback in Navarra blue with red interior and flat-bottomed wheel.

Looks like everyone else has gone for virtual cockpit. Should I try to add it to my order..?

I think the VC is worthy of the extra monthly cost if you have the funds, looks great and has positive reviews. Sure you cna live without it but its unusual touch.

Pan roof looks good but not worth the extra imo

I test drive the new Tiguan a couple of weeks back, it had the vertual cockpit and I thought it was excellent.
On the S5 its a £250 option, so assume it will add £10 per month to the lease - in my opinion I'd have it over the flat bottom stealing wheel.

Still trying to vet me lease confirmed, but assuming it goes through I'll be going for:
Flat black
Red leather
Virtual cockpit

For me, no need to option anything else, it's got a very good level of spec to start with. It's replacing an SLK as a daily driver, so nice to have a load more toys to play with.

From the various you tube videos the virtual cockpit looks too good to pass on.

Gone for VC and flat bottom steering wheel, as I'd gone for the more sensible Sportback I contrasted it with paying 100 quid for a silly style over substance steering wheel, just to assure my subconscious that I'm not too sensible. biggrin

The flat bottom steering wheel looks good - I've got one on my Jaguar F-Type and it make the interior look good. However I recently rented an f-type while away on a trip and hadn't even noticed it had a "normal" steering wheel until I returned it to the rental company 4 days (and 1400kms) later.

Hmm. Ok, I think I'll add the virtual card cockpit if I can.

I'm still not sure I should have gone for the sportback over the coupe though. laugh

Quick steering wheel related question.
Does the standard steering wheel have the paddles? I've just been reading the online specifier and both the heated and flat bottom steppe ring wheels list paddles, but the standard doesn't say anything about paddles!

I have assumed that a car of this type will have paddles.

My order (And just awaiting order confirmation which I hope to receive on Friday) is for:

Solid black
Red leather
Flat bottom steering wheel
Virtual cockpit
Hill hold assist

I did think about adding the folding mirrors but I can do without those at the price. IMO, those things should be fitted as standard on a 47k car!!!!

The deals available are being discussed in the 'Best lease deals' thread in the 'car buying' sub-forum.

There is no specific deal to link to as there are multiple brokers and at least one Audi dealer offering very good prices at the moment.

I asked this question to my lease guy, and yes the non flat bottom does have the paddles, your just paying for the steering wheel to be a bit flat at the bottom. driving

If you've got a spare hour, then this is the most in depth A5/S5 review, in fact the most in depth car review I've seen, you've got to give it to those Germans, they do things thoroughly. smile

I ordered HHA for my S4, but they messed up and it was never fitted.

To be honest, in the 30months I have had the car, it's never rolled back as the auto box holds it between coming off the foot brake and pulling away.

I've added virtual cockpit to my order now.

That's definitely it though now. £1,000 of options on a lease car is more than enough for me.

The way the dealer at Audi explained HHA is that it works very similar to the auto handbrake that I currently have in my Golf R and hence why 75 quid was fine and it's something that I've got very used to now with the Golf...

Let's hope they remember to fit it to mine then eh! biggrin

Thanks for the link. Watched a bit earlier. Heated seats in the back of the S5 too? (I thought it just mentioned the fronts on the spec)

It's an option, Nick.

Fronts as standard; fronts and outer rears as an option.

Black (Flat)
Red Leather
Flat Wheel
Virtual Cockpit

Considering Privacy, wondering if will look odd without it.

I thought about that too but it was too pricey for me!

A friend of mine knows someone who can do it cheap anyway so I may just get it done myself and then remove it at the end of the lease term...
