The S5 lease thread

I'd be amazed if that was true. I would be surprised if they a) didn't make an RS4 avant, b) made a sportback before the coupe
Willing to be proven wrong though. Could be to do with the RS7s popularity in the states I suppose. I personally think the cars I would prefer would be the RS4 avant and RS5 sportback but I think the avant and coupe give better coverage of markets.
I cannot see an RS4 saloon and RS5 coupe together in the line up but an RS4 avant with RS5 in sportback or coupe form would be worthwhile perhaps
Yes, heard similar story from my Audi dealer. More flared arches, aggressive front grille & spoiler, two huge tailpipes us usual. Also, and interestingly they will still use the same V6 TFSI engine as the S5 albeit tuned up a lot. If that is the case then there is a lot of tuning scope for S5 owners!Willing to be proven wrong though. Could be to do with the RS7s popularity in the states I suppose. A little off subject but when I asked my local dealer (who I know well) when the new RS4 would be out he said the only model on the horizon is the new RS5 Sportback, he's seen a mock up and it's aggressively styled with flared arches, thinks it will be on sale by Xmas. Anyone else heard anything?
Here is a picture of what the new RS5 Sportback will look like:https://www.autoevolution.com/news/2018-audi-rs5-s...

I was expecting that the RS will go to twin turbos?Just got my car back after 4 days at the dealers. Fixed the annoying squeak coming from back... it was the seal around window.and needed whole window out to fix.
Simon - they said the injector ticking is normal however it wasn't very cold the days they tried it so was quite quiet. They also said that it should decrease as the engine runs in properly (maybe just fobbing me off but they were more than happy for me to bring it back whenever I wanted)
Happy to get my car back and even better was they have offered me a goodwill gesture of up to around £250 towards a meal/hotel break or a trackday or golf. Basically asked me what I wanted. I was a bit taken back and just said I'd let them know next week.

Wow, were you pushy at all? If mine has to go back for anything for a while I am going to emphasising the point that I aren't paying 400 odd quid a month to lease an A3.....Simon - they said the injector ticking is normal however it wasn't very cold the days they tried it so was quite quiet. I have removed all the little Audi zip bags from the boot (first aid kit etc) this morning so will see if over the next few days I still hear rattling etc. From the sounds of it though I might need the seal doing.
cant see the ticking going away but let see - how many miles on yours now?
I have already printed off some A4 sheets already saying 'DO NOT CLEAN OR VALET ANY PART OF THE CAR' that ill have on the dash etc when it goes into Audi. I did the same and VW thought I was a loonatic.

I see on the Configurator there is a second option for wheels for the S5 now, only the sportback though, and it's the turbine ones that seem to be on a lot of the UK press cars, an additional 150 pounds too.
I'm happy with the standard ones.
Good spot! Also listed as an option on price list too. Note slightly different tyre size quoted.I'm happy with the standard ones.
I much prefer the 'standard' wheels.
Just jumped on this bandwagon, albeit not as good a price as most of you guys!
Coupe in Navarra blue with Virtual Cockpit and Flat Bottom Wheel ordered this afternoon from Derby Audi.(Estimated delivery time was 12 weeks)
For the lucky ones who have seen a car in the flesh or have your s5 already, does anybody have any pics of the interior in the Black or Grey?
I'm a bit torn, have put down grey but not sure if Black is safer.
Any help much appreciated.

Black leather on a Nav blue S4.
I have a Nav Blue coupe with black leather and aluminium style trim. I personally like the way the silver stitching goes with the alu trim and i wont have to stress about dye transfer and weekly leather wiping etc. I do love the look of the grey but would of also wanted the carbon trim as this contrasts better.
Its all personal taste though!
Just checked on My Audi to make sure that my build date hasn't changed (20th Feb) and noticed that it says the tyres are 245/35x19.
According to the online configurator the Cavo design alloys come with 255 section tyres but there's no mention of Cavo alloys on the spec of my car.
Anyone else seeing this on their Sportback?
I'm assuming it's just a typo as I'm expecting the car to come with Cavo alloys (Don't like the other choice of alloy!)

Have you tried the detailed hack link? when you check your Audi and login just go to https://www.audi.co.uk/myaudi-public-api/services/...
This gives loads of detail including order status number. Put into a json viewer and it will look clearer
