Works fine for me... need to change some parameters next apparently for the alerts to be at a sensible distance but I will get around to that later

Yes you're right. I'd forgotten but he said it was a cancelled order, come to think of it.

Must be one of the very first customer cars, too.
I seem to recall you have a Sportback on order with build date of the 20th of Feb (Same as me)

Has yours moved on according to the tracker yet mate?
I do Nick, but no movement yet. Must be the nightshift starting on mine?

What about yours? Still showing 20th Feb?

Note that all the dates are Mondays suggesting either the date is a build week or they only work on S5s on Monday!

It's the latter - only build S5s on Mondays.

Looks quality mate.
Did you follow the link i posted? Or did you do something differently? Just so i can note it down when i get mine.

I was thinking red seats with White paint wouldnt look great, so gone with black seats. But red and black as a colour combination is the best i believe.

Just had my car vandalised before and think the red seats would stand out to a would be vandal. Even though my C63 was silver and had black seats...
Looks decent in white and black in the below video, but at the end of the video, goes on about the bad points and is that true about the rear windows?

I followed a similar guide to the one you posted on a b9 a4 thread from somewhere... if you get stuck just let me know but pretty simple once you get the instructions.

Can't comment on rear windows as I have the coupe. Also windows are different on front so again can't comment. I have very little bad to say about car. Only grumbles I had was the ticking coming from injectors when car is cold (goes away in 5 mins and better on warmer days like today) and the gearbox could be a little better. As I use the paddles most the time it doesn't bother me as paddle shifts are fast and accurate.

My favorite bits of the car are definetly the engine... brakes... seats and the mmi (apart from the radio text... that sucks)

Hi jacob i take it you did a OTA update of the POA's?

Did you use these icons? http://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/speed-camera-...

If you do an OTA update can you still edit the categories.pc file to adjust zoom level? and can you set proximity warnings? thanks

Random point - glad to see sportback has auto boot close, I though it didn't as I understand the coupe doesn't

I think all A5 sportbacks and A4 avants have it. Avant/Sportback master race!

Yes the speed cameras were pushed through from the special poi destinations tab in the my.audi.com account. I used the icons that come in the POI download packs I found. I will put the link up when I remember it!

My a4 avant has the auto boot opening and close. It's pretty good but I keep trying to slam the thing shut! The s5 doesn't have it... but I'll put up with that as the coupe is way cooler than sportback/ a4 avant smile ......

Still trying to work out if I can adjust the categories file l... may have to be an SD card job. The proximity warnings are set in the car and you decide for which type of camera they alert you. I have stuck with just a visual alert as the audible may be annoying

Hi everyone,

I placed an order for new S5 sportback a few weeks ago. Went through contract cars, so was £351 per month on 9+23 profile.

I went for following spec:
Ibis white
Red leather
Folding exterior mirrors
Privacy glass

With the extra options, it came to £370 per month + £3330 initial payment (9 months) + £900 (£600 fee to contract cars plus £300 for documents/road tax etc).

Firstly how does this offer compare to the ones being offered in November? I felt it was a decent deal over the 2 years. Went for folding mirrors as I live in London (cannot believe it is not included as standard!). Wanted to get virtual cockpit but could not justify the cost on a lease deal as I was already above my budget!

Secondly, I wanted some advice regarding exterior colour. I am set on the red leather but am unsure between white/black exterior (no cost options). I have previously owned black cars and although they look great when clean, I have found them impossible to keep clean, and IMO they look bad with dust/swirl marks. Is this the case with the brilliant black? I usually prefer white generally, and have had a previous BMW with the white/red combination and loved it. However I saw a S5 sportback in ibis white the other day, and was not blown away by it. I have gone through this whole thread and have noticed others have had similar reservations regarding the colour! In an ideal world I would go for daytona grey, but again I cannot justify the extra cost frown

Mine was £336 x 23 and £3600 initial with no options + £180 fee which works out at: £11,508 and then have to add on the VC at £250. Yours works out around £12,800 but you have one more option extra.
I would swap folding mirrors for the VC if i was you. I am sure you can push the mirrors in yourself if needed.
The video below explains the VC in detail and it looks great for £250.
I thought about getting privacy glass, but as its white paint colour, think that would be good enough in the summer anyway, do more than blacked out windows in regard to keeping the heat off.

Black and red as a colour combo is my favourite but ive got for white paint and black seats. As i mentioned i wont be washing this car myself so need it to look decent even when being washed by those hand car wash places. Get a car in Black/Red, one wash and its game over.
Dont think red seats would go with white personally.

Your rate is very similar to what the November deals are apart from your massive fees. £11200 before broker fees is more or less what they were which tallys up with your pre option costs, but I had a £150 fee IIRC rather than £900. Still as good a deal as you would get now though.

I went for black as I think it looks better. Black and white are equally difficult to keep clean IME but I agree black shows swirls more. I just think the black goes with the (lot of) chrome features the car has. I have seen a glacier white coupe and a mythos black sportback in a dealer within a few metres of each other and the black looked LOADS better IMO. Obviously ours wont be metallic but I think the principle can be carried over.

Totally agree - this car does not suit white at all. White really needs the black styling pack for contrast.
