Hi moods result! Bet you can't wait. So do you know if you car started build on the 13th or before? Thx
Mine was built a few days early according to the tracker.

Delivery is 31/03 as I'm out of the country for a couple of weeks beforehand. Holiday and a new car makes for a busy month!

Does anyone know if the car only gets registered the day we collect? I know that was the case with my Golf R.

IMO I think so mate. On the basis that 20feb motors will be here soon. We just have to hope there are no issues with shipping!

Hi,

I ordered my S5 sportback in February. Build date is showing as 10th April, so I should receive car May/June.

When I placed the order (9+23 profile), I paid £600 admin fee to broker and £300 for document fees (prices inclusive of VAT). I was told this includes RFL for the duration of the contract. I have subsequently checked regarding the increased VED for cars registered after April, and been told I won't have to pay anything extra.

I have read the thread and noticed people worrying about receiving their cars after April - is that because your deals did not include RFL in the price? Should I get them to send something in writing confirming I will not have to pay extra tax?

Thanks

Sounds about right as mine was build 20th Feb and had left the factory 4 days ago.
So projecting that forward all us 20th Feb lot are expecting cars next week?
As far as I know mine is still in QC.

They're probably using it for the sandwich runs, or one of the apprentices has wrapped it round a tree round the back of the factory while attempting handbrake turns with an electric parking brake.

As far as I'm aware all lease cars include road fund licence. The problem that most of us are having is that we ordered our cars back in November and were all scheduled to be delivered before the increase in road fund licence. Now due to whatever reason the delivery is potentially being beyond April 1st it certainly seems to be suggested that we are going to have to pay for at least some of the increase in cost. In the paperwork that we all have signed or received from the lease broker there seems to be a get out clause allowing them to increase the cost prior to delivery should they so wish. There also seems to be a cause that will allow you to walk away from the deal if the cost increase is suggested.
it's quite possible when they put your deal together they calculated in the increased road fund licence on the basis they knew your car was going to be arriving before the changes came into place.
So just to clarify, we do have road fund licence included, but the original quoted price included the road fund licence at a lower price.
I don't think any of us think it's particularly fair to be asked to stump up some extra cost because someone, somewhere in Audi allowed these orders to continue through despite having oversubscribed order lists.

With all of the above said, I wouldn't mind fairly late, so in a way I'm grateful they did allow orders to keep coming through.

just an update on what mind showing on the tracker, it was scheduled for 6th March build and as of today is showing it being in the paint shop which according to my theory means actual production will start on 6th March with it actually running through the factory being assembled. I also therefore assuming it will run out of the factory doors on March 6th.

My tracking shows it has arrived in the UK, and dealer has confirmed it should be with them soon.

I am hoping all those with tracking show as of arrived in UK will receive cars next week!

Thanks for the helpful reply. Yes you are right - I contacted my broker. Since my scheduled delivery has always been June, they have factored in the increased tax/VED in the base rental. That probably explains partly why my monthly payments were higher than those people ordered back in November.

On a separate note, I have now managed to see progress of my order via Audi tracker. I notice that on the website I can see my exterior colour choice (ibis white), but there is no mention of the colour of the interior under order details (I have gone for red). Was this the case for others who chose a colour other than black for their interior? (i.e. red or grey)

My build date has been bumped forward 3 weeks. Which is good and bad as I am abroad when I am anticipating it will now arrive.

Still fretting over the colour. Some of the navarro blues look great. I have gone white with red. Havent seen it in the flesh in that colour, only red with grey. the grey leather didnt work with red paint imo

I think it'll look lovely in white with red leather. I've ordered black with red leather and VERY nearly changed it to a white apart from my missus saying she doesn't like the car in white (One reason to change it then ha)

I'm sure it'll look lovely once you get it!

I am sure too. The car is growing on me. First time I saw it in the flesh I thought it looked good from some angles but not others. Been into local showroom twice more and fall more in love more each time.

even the red exterior and grey leather looked amazing this time haha. By the time it arrives I will think it is beautiful. Just that nagging doubt about the colour.

Im consoling myself with the thought that it is so much better in the flesh than pics and the white and red one i saw on autotrader looked good. So my theory in the flesh will look amazing smile.

We would hope so, but as far as I am told it all depends on the options you have chosen as it effects the build date, through to QC.

As far as I know mine is still in QC.

My delivery is expected 20th March. It had left the factory 5 days ago, and this is the tracker today. Must be on 'snail rail' as it has apparently not left port yet. TBH the tracker has been pretty rubbish.

On a lighter note, I guess we are all excited in waiting for our 'new born' quattros to arrive, so in the meantime here is a video for some amusement.

Does anyone with a coupe know whether the seat belt feeders need to be turned on or something? As according to the manual they're supposed to push forward the seat belt when either the door is closed or the ignition switched on. I don't think I've ever seen them work on mine.
