Just checked the tracker and my car is at stage 4 - panel shop - seems to be starting production a few days earlier than the 28th Nov.
I suspect the car will be at the dealer well before last week of Jan.

Anyone else at the same stage or further along?

Yes mine moved to panel shop stage today as well. My dealer is now saying week 1 or 2 of January for delivery.

Ive just asked V4B to go to the dealer for an update. My Golf R lease ends 15th Jan so I might not need an informal extension now.

This is a bit worrying lol

My current lease ends in April and the S5 was estimated for then end of March so a few weeks wouldn't have been issue but a few a months may be a different matter...

Most will be March I think. Mine is a coupe and I was lucky the dealer found me an early build slot... he said if I didn't get the one they had previously booked then it would have been March.

I seem to recall reading somewhere that the production runs for the coupes were starting before the Sportbacks...

Same here, hope mine isn't at stage 4 don't want it till march

Even if the car is at the dealer end of Jan you dont have to take it till March so you will be fine

Now stage 5 paint shop - have to say Audi update the tracker alot better than VW did with my Golf R.

I'm new to the forum and this is my first post, so sorry for all the questions!

Your order seems to be progressing nicely.

I ordered the same deal from V4B the 2nd week of November and I don't have a build date or tracking number yet.

What process did you go through? Once ordered, how long did it take to receive all that info?
I was told at point of order that it should be mid Feb but I'm not convinced as I have no details on build dates (should be confirmed early December).
I'm new to leasing (first lease car) so maybe I'm just not savvy with the process.

Any info will be great.

I ordered 3rd week of October and had the order ref number 3 weeks later. I was told at first that the dealer had stated no movement will really happen on the online tracker for a while and V4B will keep me upto date anyway. I went back and asked for the order number now so I can track the car myself and not have to chase them for updates all the time. I also said I need to be able to track the car so I can manage expectations around my current lease car going back. I then got the order number easily.
V4B seem to have quite an open relationship with their dealer - when i was having problems creating an Audi account to get into the online tracker V4B just connected me to the dealer over email and they were really helpful.
At point of order in 3rd week of Oct I was told early Feb but my car is already in production now and is likely going to be 1st or 2nd week of jan.

Just ask V4B for your order number and if they try to brush you off just push a little harder - should be no problem in getting it.

Your order should now be logged and have a build slot I would think.

Thank you for the swift response.

I'd be more than happy to receive my car in Jan haha! - I'm basically ready to go now which is why I'm so impatient.
I'd be pretty annoyed if I had to wait until the end of March considering I was told an ETA of Feb at point of order - It's why I rushed my order through!
The guys at V4B have always been super responsive but I'm just eager to get some firm dates!
I'll chase that order number down!

Trying to change the seat colour to grey but not getting far with the lease company, might try Audi Newbury direct...

My order was originally scheduled for the build week of 23 January 2017 but got pulled forward a week to 16 January but is now preparing to be built the week 5 December 2016. I don't actually want the car until 1 March 2017 at the earliest so hopefully not too much of a problem. As road tax is included in the cost of the lease it's not your problem however the VWFS offer financing these S4/5s is only valid until the end of March 2017 no doubt for this very reason!

Tints look great with black white or red - with grey or blue i can take them or leave them. I think both red and grey leather looks good on black. If i had taken black i would have gone with red calipers and red leather i think.

My order should be going in tomorrow. Brilliant black sportback with red leather, virtual cockpit, hill hold and extended multi colour interior illumination. Need it by April, no idea on ETA yet.
