I made a conscious decision not to track the ship, for me that was just a bit too much information. Now you sent this picture however I wish I had tracked it as I think it would have been interesting.
By the looks of it, it was about to make report when you took your screen grab, however I bet it will probably take the best part of the day to unload them.

Does anyone know if the car comes with a tracker fitted? Any way of checking the cars location from your phone?
Have you downloaded the Audi MMI app? You can check various things on your car with the app and assume location as well but although I've downloaded the app I can't seem to find how to connect it with the car yet. I think you have to enter a pin somewhere in the mmi in the car but I couldn't see where to do this. Will have another look when I've got time.

You need access to the car to enable it, so people can't get your VIN and stalk you and unlock your doors

Just to get some of you excited, my dad has just seen a lorry full of Audis on the M18 and saw at least one black S5 sportback on there.

I just chased Audi Sheffield to let them know is saying my car has arrived. They have confirmed their system says the same thing, but it doesn't have a compound entry date listed on their system yet against my car.
They are expecting this date to appear on their system sometime later today, apparently 24-hour's after that they are able to call the port request delivery.

Things are certainly progressing well, fingers crossed to meet again to receive it before the road fund licence increase.

Just popped down to the PDI centre as it is only a couple of miles away and HERE SHE IS!!!

Dayum! Was really hoping the rear diffuser would be the same as the one on the coupe but looks like it's different on the sportback! Oh well...
Back to the diffuser issue! I took another photo out of curiosity and YES the diffuser fins are slightly smaller on the sportback...I wonder why?? Not that bothered though TBH.

Interesting, I wonder why that is!

Yes the coupe one looks better but I aren't sure it makes a lot of difference!

Fairly sure I have seen this comparison come up before, either on here or another forum. Conclusion was that they are the same diffuser, it's just the photo of the red sportback is a bit poor. Here's a photo of a sportback at my local dealer, the diffuser looks the same as the coupe one to me

Why is this diffuser different to mine....very odd.

Can't help you on that score but I noticed that insurance generally seems higher than I'd expect on these cars.

Best quote I've had is around £570 including business use. I had quotes of sub £450 for an M3/4 with the same cover.

Seems a little surprising given the M is around 30% more expensive and quite a bit quicker and more powerful.

Not that a couple of hundred quid is anything to worry about in the grand scheme of things!
I think its because the S/RS are 4 wheel drive so they are more attractive to thieves. Add in the fact that its 4 doors and its basically a dream car for a 'job'. A lot of Golf R's and S3's get stolen (I've had an attempted break in) and the police back up this theory. The worrying part was being told by a traffic officer that they don't pursue these cars and try to get a helicopter onto them instead. They also said avoid the 4 doors but I'd already ordered the SB by then!
In that case, then I really WOULD NOT publish you registration plate on this site as it is an advert for thieves to easily find the registered keepers address of car they want!! remember that they can also simply (and quickly) start the car up and drive it away using the OBD port and a code reader/writer.

Yeah don't publish anything that can give away your location. Thieves are known to browse forums searching for that sort of information. In regards to the ODB port you could get an ODB lock (physical) but I just use a steering disklok which no one is getting off without the key.

IMO the key is to have as many deterrents as you can to slow them down as they generally want quick easy jobs and wont bother if it looks like it'll be tough/take a long time.

Just spoke again with Audi Sheffield and they can't tell me when the car will arrive at the dealership as yet. They've been told that they can't mark orders as urgent (To have them moved from port to dealership any quicker) but they expect the car will be there before the end of March and it could be there tomorrow or the day after...or whenever.

Mine's been sat at Grimsby since the 7th so don't get your hopes up those of you whose cars have just arrived in port wink

How much are these ODB Locks? Seen £199 which is ridiculous, I's rather pay my insurance excess thanks.

Thanks for this - its good to know. Sounds like a bit of a lottery then!

Its a bit frustrating as I'm trying to arrange the inspection/collection of my Golf R but I can't without knowing when the S5 will be ready.
