How much are these ODB Locks? Seen £199 which is ridiculous, I's rather pay my insurance excess thanks.
I just settled for a Disklok myself but have heard about having the ODB port 'relocated' - I think they basically disable the port that is easily accessible.

Yeah don't publish anything that can give away your location. Thieves are known to browse forums searching for that sort of information. In regards to the ODB port you could get an ODB lock (physical) but I just use a steering disklok which no one is getting off without the key.

IMO the key is to have as many deterrents as you can to slow them down as they generally want quick easy jobs and wont bother if it looks like it'll be tough/take a long time.
Yes agree. I've been looking at Thatcham approved trackers with an ODB port lock. not cheap!!

I bought and use a Stoplock Professional Steering Wheel Lock from Amazon for 45 quid - Thatcham 3 approved. Nothing amazing but as said by someone else these 'old school' devices are very visible and might just deter someone from having a go.

Fairly sure I have seen this comparison come up before, either on here or another forum. Conclusion was that they are the same diffuser, it's just the photo of the red sportback is a bit poor. Here's a photo of a sportback at my local dealer, the diffuser looks the same as the coupe one to me

Why is this diffuser different to mine....very odd.
Yup it is odd indeed. Maybe it's to do with spec? Doesn't make sense though.

I really dislike these wheels - seems a lot of Sportbacks have them for some reason!

Just spoke again with Audi Sheffield and they can't tell me when the car will arrive at the dealership as yet. They've been told that they can't mark orders as urgent (To have them moved from port to dealership any quicker) but they expect the car will be there before the end of March and it could be there tomorrow or the day after...or whenever.

Mine's been sat at Grimsby since the 7th so don't get your hopes up those of you whose cars have just arrived in port wink
Thanks for this - its good to know. Sounds like a bit of a lottery then!

Its a bit frustrating as I'm trying to arrange the inspection/collection of my Golf R but I can't without knowing when the S5 will be ready.
I'm in the same situation with my SLK, I have something else to drive, but then really want to hand the keys back for it and then have three weeks to wait, so have been waiting until my car hit the UK before phoning Mercedes and arranging for them to come and collect it. Like I can to have one go on one day and the other arrives the next, but I guess this might not happen.

Yeah the problem I have is there is about a 2 week wait at the moment for inspections. Once inspected it must be collected within 7 days otherwise it expires and will need a 'new' inspection. So I don't want to be in a position where I have to wait because the inspection can't be scheduled in time or get it inspected too early and then the 7 days pass - if that makes sense? Its not actual due to go back until mid-April but I've gone over the mileage so every mile is drive is costing me.

One thing I was very pleased to find out was that my Golf R can be collected from anywhere, so I can drive up to Audi Sheffield to pick up the S5 and leave the Golf R there to be collected!

Oddly enough the inspection for my Golf was booked yesterday, I have until the 20th of April to get it in ship shape!

Does the inspection effectively allow you to get things put right afterwards or is the inspection when it needs to be sorted? Such as the tyre wear being uneven that I am unsure about as I don't think my uneven tyre wear is due to under or over inflation.

That's interesting. Is it BCA doing the inspection? From what I was told you have 7 days from the inspection to get it repaired if you wish but after seeing VW's matrix charges I will just pay for them to repair any damages.

Had my BCA inspection yesterday car going back on 27th march, got an absolute jobs worth of an inspector, 2 new front tyres needed even with 4mm left because the extreme shoulder of the tyre was worn, and 2 wheel refurbs at £85 each, went round while car with fine tooth comb, last time inspector didn't really care even let me off for scuffed alloys, just luck on the day who you get I think

Its being inspected on the 20th, collected on the 26th. No idea, and my Seat wasnt inspected apart from by the person who collected it. How do you get the matrix?

Is it a VW? The matrix charges I received in the post shows £36 per alloy wheel.

I thought they are very reasonable. They aren't my charges by the way but just an indication of what the charges could be if that makes sense.
