Is what's on the fob the same as the myAudi PIN? I have already logged in to the app but thought I just needed to type that in to the MMI system?
No, you need the key fob with a security key code on it.NSS89 said:

I think they will be rammed out with getting cars to the dealers anyway. A significant percentage of Audis will be worse off as a result of this VED increase, not just the lease S5s!
But its aggravating nonetheless. I WANT MY CAR! And you guys are 10 days ahead of us who's cars came into Grimsby yesterday.
I spoke to them today and they said they cannot prioritise any vehicles but they guarantee that they will be here by the end of the month. They said to call back next week as they should have a better idea of dates. I went ahead and booked my inspection/collection in for the 30th/31st March. But its aggravating nonetheless. Yes, definitely need the code from the tag that you scratch off like a lottery ticket in order to set a primary user. I've just done mine this morning after a couple of days of fiddling around with settings etc. I didn't find it that straight forward but got there in the end.
Thanks. I'll be sure to get this.TomScrut said:
As in, delivered? I am hopeful of that, but would be amazed if we all had our cars in two weeks' time given how slowly things seem to be going at the moment.
Yeah delivered :-O I thought it sounds about right to be honest but maybe I am being optimistic. I did ring back to check that having my current car collected from there would be fine and to confirm the address. She also said the 31st should be fine but to ring back next week for an update, so 2 different people said the same thing which is promising.NSS89 said:

If they get the cars soon then yes but it seems mad that cars are waiting at the dock.

Well I have emailed V4B with a list of things (MMI Connect fob being one of them) and I asked do they know if it will be delivered this month? So see what they come back with.

Sorry I should have said collected but she did say to me you can have it delivered if you prefer. Yeah let me know what they say. I still haven't had any docs or anything from FS so might drop them a line. Yeah Sheffield.Yours is with Sheffield isnt it?

Well I also asked the question if I collected it would it expedite me getting it? One would think that finding people to deliver it on a truck would be a larger bottleneck than PDIing them which surely only takes an hour or two?TomScrut said:

PDI only takes a couple hours I agree, but when mine arrived for PDI they said they had 300 other VW/Audi cars to PDI first (they do 4-5 at a time). I just kept nagging them saying my other lease car had already been collected and had no car (was a lie), then suddenly it jumped the queue and was delivered early.18ME said:

Thanks for highlighting this - I didnt get this when my car was delivered so have gone back to Audi Sheffield asking for the fob thing. What does this give you acess too? I already have the app on my phone connected to the car so what extra does thing bring?
Locking and unlocking remotely with your phone.Frankstar123 said:
Good to see some more "real life" pics of people that have actually picked up their Nav Blue SB's, looks pretty good..!I'm gutted mine is still showing as stuck in QC - been there for nearly 2 weeks now and no movement..
Looking highly unlikely my car will be registered by 31st March...

Still possible IMO. 3 days on boat to port (the average), once showing as in port (Grimsby, Sheerness etc), it can be registered. Your deadline is realistically 30th March to arrive in port and be registered in time. If it does, request registration straight away and avoid the new VED.I'm gutted mine is still showing as stuck in QC - been there for nearly 2 weeks now and no movement..

I do really like the blue.....but chose Mythos Black. Did I make the right decision???...too late now. BTW, I'm averaging 16.5 miles to the gallon at the moment. Hopefully will get better when the 'dynamic' fun bit wears off. Edited by IJB1959 on Friday 17th March 13:51

I am yes, my car has been sitting with them since Monday last week! I was hoping for delivery last week to be honest but there was a delay in getting the docs over to me but this is all done now. Spoke to FS today and they have prebooked wednesday delivery slot for me.
Hope they move along soon for you!

Make sure you post some pics up when you get your new motor (It's pretty similar spec wise to mine)
It is really good to see and hear of cars now starting to arrive with their new owners. It's great to see the pictures coming through and really good to hear people's comments.
I'm still struggling to get my head round the whole registration, taxing issue.
I was under the impression that the tax increase only applies to cars " registered" after 1st April - I wonder if anyone could confirm if this is technically correct. The reason for asking is that fleet source have said they can't tax the car until it's registered. They can't send me the paperwork until the car is registered - therefore by definition as long as it was registered before we get to the end of the month it definitely then doesn't have the increase road fund licence.

Cars are usually registered when it lands within the UK, a dealer can assign a plate a reg once on UK soil.I'm still struggling to get my head round the whole registration, taxing issue.
