Zooom I've tried to email you details of someone who would more than likely be able to do you a better deal but your profile says that you don't accept emails. I can't put the dealers details on here as they do not allow their details to be published on forums apparently.
Email setting now switched on. Would be grateful for the details. Thanks.

Having put my (coupe) order in Nov last year I still couldn't get a commitment of a build date from Sheffield Audi (via FS) as of last week.
Best guess they had was June/ July delivery.

I contacted Hollie at Tamworth Audi last week and today I've got a car confirmed, delivery expected 24 April.
Flat black, fbsw, vc, privacy glass.

After such a long period being kept waiting Hollie has been a breath of fresh air and I'm now excited again about getting this car. Roll on 24 April...

For those of you in the same position as me, call Hollie at Tamworth Audi, let her know Bruce referred you please. After such a long period being kept waiting she's been a breath of fresh air and I'm now excited again about getting this car. Roll on 24 April...
Hollie phoned me earlier today to ask how I was getting on with my car and thanked me for the referral which I was a little surprised about as I'd not actually given her details on the forum other than mentioning her name, I'm guessing she's referring to your order as she said it was for a black S5.

I did ask her a couple of months ago if she wanted me to put her details up for anyone interested in ordering an Audi but she said that management did not allow their details advertised on forums for some reason. Anyhow, glad you got a decent deal, Hollie has been brilliant to deal with from time of order all the way through to collection, and I pestered her a lot including changing spec 2 or 3 times without any issues at all.

For those of you who now have their new S5's, how are you finding the fuel consumption? I am struggling to get better than 20mpg around town, foot down and it's 16mpg average. Not tried a motorway run yet though.

AWOOGA! AWOOGA! (thats a claxon)

Car at dealer and being PDI'ed now.

Delivery date imminent, asked FS to see if I can go collect tomorrow. We will see.
Congrats mate!

I'm pretty disappointed in FS at the moment and have sent an email to them to that effect earlier!

Basically, I sent my signed paperwork to them on Friday 10th March together with scanned copies (They received the postal docs on Monday 13th). I chased FS today as JCT600 told me last Friday they hadn't received the paperwork from FS. FS are now saying that one of my signatures wasn't matching the others despite me having signed and re-scanned 3 times and for them to say they're happy!!!!

No wonder my car is still sat at bloody Grimsby and has been for two weeks!!!

Not impressed at the moment...

Lesson to others with cars coming via Fleetsauce - Make sure you chase them to ensure that they've forwarded the docs to Audi Sheffield and don't sit back like I did expecting that everything was in order!!!

Thanks for the tip Nick. I sent back my docs the week before last (the one from VWFS) but it was sent from and back to the fleet dept, of Newbury Audi not the broker. Is that normal?
I have been pinging them for updates too. Couldn't be arsed with Solent but I may ping them to check if they need something from me.
My car has just updated to status 40 too smile

I have found FS to be very good, as are JCT600. However, I did follow by email and call once I had scanned and posted my docs to ensure they had received both on the days they should have.

How many miles? IIRC Simon and Jacob said it improves.

I'm only at 120 miles so i suspect once it gets run in it will get better.

And once the novelty of the exhaust note and acceleration wears off..

I wish I hadn't read this, it's bought up my stupid concern about the ridiculous low mileage per gallon figures for this car.
Just to put those figures into perspective I reset the fuel consumption on my F type this morning and then use it to do the school run (it is a beautiful sunny morning and it's a nice drive to school). I returned 18 mpg - bearing in mind it's a 5 L V8 with a supercharger, Additionally my son is 12 years old, so the active exhaust was open, so very much being driven to make the exhaust pot and bang even more which clearly is not a particularly efficient way of driving - although sounds truly epic (and mentally I'm probably around 12 years old myself).

We need Simon White to wade in on MPG. He has had his longest.

I expect(hope) once the engine loosens up and we all stop driving like our hair is on fire we will see mid 20's.

I have had the car since 3rd week of Dec and am returning an average of 24MPG. Mon to Fri the car is used on a 9 mile each way commute on B roads that involve a lot of stop start due to traffic lights. There is 1.5 miles of that commute that is motorway where i do move it from Auto mode to Dynamic and give it a blast. At the weekend the car sees simlar use on the supermarket run etc. As its stands the car has 1800 miles on it and MPG has improved as the mileage has increased - not sure if im being lighter on the gas or if this is due to 'bedding in' - If I go back to an earlier post on here my average was under 20MPG.
Dont know if this helps at all. In comparision my Golf R was averaging 31mpg with the same use.

Mine now has around 2400 miles on it. I have done two long trips (around 800 miles in total on motorways) the rest has been mainly town driving at 30mph and below plus about 400 miles of blasting around A roads... 22.1mpg

If you are a motorway commuter you will be pleasantly surprised. My s5 does better than my a4 (1.4petrol) once above 70. And even at decent speeds it stays above 30mpg

Ill be happy with that, and my manual R averages around 31 for me.

My main issue when I had my B8 S4 was it was diabolical mpg at motorway speeds (well, around 26) so it sounds good if it goes over 30 on a regular basis on a run.

Yeah, no what you mean....kids love it. The 4lt V8 XJ8 Jag I had many years ago did about the same as the S5 at the moment. Lets hope it gets better as others say when it loosens up after a few miles.
