All confirmed, AM delivery tomorrow via transporter! Roll on

Will get pics on here as soon as I can
Nice! Any extra charges to have it delivered on a transporter?

I was told yesterday that transporter delivery could be requested but they would normally deliver by driving it. That was V4B, not JCT600 though so it could be a generic answer.

Nope, request it via JCT600 however as the lease company may decide to just make a quick buck from you.

just call up the fleet department and let them know you want it on a transporter and they will happily do it however it may move delivery day.

Yes, this is my concern. I would rather have it sooner with 80 miles on the clock than have it undriven

It will only move by a day or two, from when I was speaking to them last week.

I've only had the car for a week now and its done around 200 miles but my average is well over 25mpg and that included a very spirited run up and down Fish Hill, if anyone knows it, but most of the time its been driven gently from one village to another village which is virtually just 30 and 40mph speed limits so don't get a chance to open it up. I don't really see much traffic which is probably why the mpg isn't too bad. I reckon on my average getting close to 30mpg over time but its got to make a difference on what sort of roads you are driving on and the volume of traffic. I averaged around 25mpg from a stage 3 AMD modified V8 S4 13 years back and not far off that figure in a 6.2L LS3 VXR8 some years back too, again on the same sort of roads so really cannot imagine a much newer V6 engined car being less than 30mpg.

For anyone who is still looking to order an S5 on a good rate, Hollie at Tamworth Audi can now only offer business contract hire and no more personal deals.

Thanks for the tip Nick. I sent back my docs the week before last (the one from VWFS) but it was sent from and back to the fleet dept, of Newbury Audi not the broker. Is that normal?
I have been pinging them for updates too. Couldn't be arsed with Solent but I may ping them to check if they need something from me.
My car has just updated to status 40 too smile

I suspect if you're dealing directly with Audi (And not the broker) it'll be quicker for you to get updates etc instead of waiting for things to be filtered down via the broker. One of the big issues with my paperwork is that JCT600 were saying the signature on the forms doesn't match my driving license which is correct cos the signature on that is over 10 years old. I've told them to speak to VWFS seeing as my current lease is with them but it seems that's too easy!!!

It also explains why my car's been sat in Grimsby for two weeks now...

Like many others on here my S5 has landed at UK port. Its another Sheffield JCT order through V4B.

I pinged V4B today and they say are waiting for it to leave the port and make its way across to the Dealership. Also that they are chasing this up for me and will continue to do so and get everything sorted for me as quick as possible.

I get the impression from some of the posts on here that other people are getting their paperwork through and sorted before the car gets to the dealer.

If this is the case what should I be pressing V4B to get on with so that matters progress in the shortest period?

Cool! I do hope mine is faster than 20 days from arriving in UK to parked outside my house though!

I am starting to get really frustrated now. I don't suppose it helps by me seeing people starting to have paperwork arrives and taking delivery cars.
Mine still seems to be sent at the UK dock. The latest update is that Audi Sheffield have tried to request my car but have been told that the transport company are not answering the phone and they were told to try calling back tomorrow/Thursday - so that's another two days wasted.

I just sent a rocket email to fleet source to say that I'm not happy and getting quite anxious and that if this goes over the end of the month by a couple of days I don't think I can bring myself to sign on the line for an increase in cost.
Altogether this is proving to be a not particularly pleasant process to be going through.

I heard yesterday that my car had missed the end of the month too, but same as you JCT600 have asked for the car to be expedited and are trying to find out if it can be had quicker. At least in my case its their £440 they are wasting but it still doesn't make it a lot better.

I did order it for the end of March, so it won't be very late, but late nonetheless I suppose

If yours is at a UK dock then they have the VIN and can register it now and well before the end of the month to save the increased tax.

I've asked specifically for that now three times, but each time have been told that they can't do anything with it until it has been listed on the system as being assigned ( or something along those lines) to the supplying dealer. I'm really not sure what else to do other than start shouting at someone - although I doubt that will get very far.

Yeah, that's what they did with mine. Mine arrived in Grimsby on the 7th of March and when I signed the paperwork off it contained the reg number.

Finally after a great deal of chasing today both with JCT600 and FS, my car is booked for delivery to me on Thursday 30th March!!!!
