Tom - when's the last time you've enquired for an update for yours?
Last update I had was Monday but have chased today with V4B.

I have been nagging them every couple of days since it got to the UK
I been doing the same with both fleet source and JCT600, I'm not sure if it actually making any difference........
Apparently the computer system at JCT600 is down today as they are taking on Mercedes from the Fleet Centre as of the end of the month - talk about a really badly timed decision, to shut the system down at about the busiest time they probably had.....

I still genuinely think there must be a chance of our cars being registered before the end of the month - we've still eight working days for someone to get hold of some form of paperwork, and then get the car registered.

Registered yes, I don't care about that as they are paying the extra VED. I want the actual car by the end of the month!

Ring Audi Sheffield if you can. There's been 2 instances now where I've rang them and they've given me up-to-date information which FS did not have so I went back to FS straight after to let them know. For example, FS thought it was still on a boat last week but I knew it had already arrived which Audi Sheffield confirmed. Today I rang Audi again and they said a number plate was assigned to the car yesterday so again I will now go back to FS to push for the docs to be sent to me.

I think yours will be in the same position to be honest as our cars have moved along more or less together from what I remember.

V4B told me specifically not to speak to Sheffield, I presume so they are kept in the loop. Tom there is good though, most of the time when he doesn't ring me back its because JCT600 haven't replied to him. I have not been asking them for updates on where the car is (since I can track that anyway), I am wanting to know when I will have it and to get the paperwork sorted.

But sounds a lot like they are in a similar situation.

Yeah I agree but its at the stage now where we can't really track its progress apart from once its arrived at the dealer. The person I spoke to this morning said now that it has been assigned a plate, the docs will be generated and sent. Also, that it should arrive at the dealership in the next few days. Basically its still on track to be collected on the 31st which is what I requested.

Once a numberplate has been assigned the car is then registered, so it sounds like you're lucky, yours will not fall foul of the increase in cost. Whether you actually have it delivered by the end of the month is another question.

I too requested the 31st of March but was told that they thought it was just too late. Things may change though :/

Very lucky! True but I think because I am happy to collect it, it may be easier to accommodate my request to have it for the 31st.

As mentioned just, maybe because I am collecting it they might be able to accommodate my request? Agree that things can change and maybe the have been giving you the 'worst case scenario' as to not disappoint you in case they can't get it to you by then. Fingers crossed we will have them by then!

I too have requested to collect, if it brings it forward. I am only near Scarborough so its not that far to Sheffield or Chesterfield aren't bad to get to if it meant getting the car earlier.

This appears to be the opposite of what I've been told. Both JCT600 and fleet source has said that they can't generate the paperwork until the car has been called from port by JCT600. As far as I can see the issue appears to be actually getting it called from port. I do feel sorry for Melissa as she must be inundated with this sort of enquiry by getting a huge amount of customers.
I chased both Melissa and Fleet source yesterday - there is no way I'm going to be accepting an increase in cost for a car that is set in the UK could by all accounts be easily registered, I have told them as such and I think they're taking it all on board.
Well to give you an indication of timings - I received my paperwork to sign on the 9th of March. The car was still showing as sitting in Grimsby both on the tracker and according to JCT600. The paperwork included my registration number even though the car was still sat at the port.

It was still showing as sat at the port until Monday 20th March when it changed to status arrived. Today I've had my email from FS to confirm delivery on the 30th and the reg number on there matches the one that appeared on the original signed paperwork (As I'd expect it to)

I've also had confirmation that the car will be sent on a trailer for me as I requested.

I recieved my paperwork on the 9th which had the VIN but no reg. Car is saying still in Emden, now a month there.

Has anyone recieved a car from Audi Newbury via Central Vechicle Leasing?

Ive been chasing Audi as Central UK Vechile Leasing have not bothered to reply or update me.

Still not seen an SB in the flesh yet!

That is crazy! Your experience worries me. I am using Solent which is CUVL I believe via Newbury.
It's been in sheerness a few days now. To be fair Solent have replied to emails and Newbury Audi are pretty decent too. But I haven't been given a date etc it will happen when it happens is the message
I am Getting. I have the name of the fleet manager there would you like it?

It's crap, isn't it.

Mine was built and finished by 18th Feb according to the tracker, but between sitting in QC for weeks and making incredibly slow progress once out of there, it still hasn't made it to Emden nearly 5 weeks after they cobbled it together, as far as I can tell.

I'm chuckling to myself at TomScrut's restlessness as he waits for his car which should have been weeks behind mine.

biggrin

Edit to add: mine shows little sign of arriving in time to beat the VED increase and Audi are refusing to cover it. So anyone whose car has overtaken mine and who has a guarantee that they won't get stung for the VED hike, I hope mice make a nest under your bonnet and eat all the wiring.

To those who have the car....

Anyone having any issues with audi connect. Mine keeps disconnecting every 5 minutes or so (random locations doesn't seem linkedgeree to signal) it tells me to activate data connection and to insert a sim card.

When I took it to audi they did a reset bu5 hasn't changed anything.

On a side note.... if anyone needs some speed camera location files then I can send them to you. Seems to work well in my car.

Before anyone suggests it... the disconnecting sim card was doing it before I downloaded all the speed cameras! the connection seems to randomly come back. Sometimes after 30seconds and other times after 5 mins

Its not that mine has jumped a queue its that yours for some reason has deiced to go to the back of it by the sounds of it. You should have yours by now! Well, a lot of us should based on what the leasing companies told us when we took the bait!

Yeah it is ridiculous, yours is an anomaly but it just doesn't seem to make sense. The car taking ages to build could be for all sorts of reasons, but how long cars are being stuck at Emden/not getting there such as yours and gatedecore's doesn't compute. Do they just randomly go and collect cars to chuck on the boat in no order? I can see how the order of people getting cars can be affected by where the car is going to (ie they wont make a car due to go to Grimsby wait until a car that arrived earlier to go to Sheerness leaves) but that should only be a matter of days.

Have they now formally told you its going to go up in price? If you were to threaten to cancel on those grounds I wonder if they will change their standing on it?

For me it's not so much the delays that are irritating me now, it's Audi's whole attitude. When I called them yesterday they spoke to me like I was an inconvenience, and I'm still waiting on the return phone call I was promised at 11am yesterday.

Couldn't give a sh*t if your systems are down, returning a phone call is just plain common courtesy. Fleetsauce have told me that Audi told them I would definitely know more by 3pm today, so that's been and gone albeit only just.

All leaves a bad taste really. I'm sure the car will be great but sweet Jesus they need to work on their customer care. If I was porkinsider I'd have taken great pleasure in telling them to poke it by now... more patient than me haha...

Again, on the positive, fleetsauce are going out of their way to help.

I agree. Given the dates we were all told, pretty much everyone should have theirs by now!

Yes they have and no they won't. Apparently...
