Yes coupe. Hope the car meets expectations given I couldnt cancel it or change the spec!
I nearly cancelled, £300 fee for Audi if you do
Yeah, I wanted to change to an S4 but was too late so wanted to change spec of the S5 but again was too late. So ideally I would cancel but then have limited time to sort another car before the Golf R goes back.

My Sportback is now due for build start 20/02 as well.

Buckled yesterday and added Privacy for the extortionate fee of £375, just think will look odd without it. Did review other options available again and nothing else I want.

As it stands:

Flat Wheel
Virtual Cockpit
Privacy

All in £725 for options.

Having seen one in the metal (coupe though) I feel it will look odd without pravacy so am already getting quotes for tinting. My experience of tinting is from a long time ago and I remember lots of bubbles and all sorts so I hope things have progressed on that front.
You were lucky you could change the spec - I was too late sadly to change to an S4 or alter my S5 spec is and the changes I wanted were;

Spec;
Coupe in Navarra Blue with black leaher and alu trim
Folding mirrors
Flat wheel
Virtual cockpit
Extended led

Spec wanted to change too;
Sportback in Standard black with red leather and piano black trim
Flat wheel
Virtual cockpit
Red calipers
Extended led

Ultimately I put the initial order in so should of spent a bit more time thinking on spec before it got so far that I couldnt change my mind. The black high spec S5 coupe I saw yesterday looked really really nice

That's really funny, I considered privacy and at time of placing order just thought it sounded extortionate. Haven't yet been to get a quote for retrofitting, but starting to think it might end up being nearly as much and not looking quite as good.
I have had privacy fitted to a couple of cars in the past and haven't had any issues with bubbling - the key is to get the right company/person to do it.

Now very tempted just to bite the bullet and had overseen to my order and simply pay the dealer for it.

Whilst on the subject of retrofitting privacy, has anyone had any joy yet with any costs for wrapping the chrome - I'm still not totally convinced that the front grille looks right with so much chrome. I know it's possible to wrap it, just haven't had chance to get any costing for it.

I went for an S5 coupe in black with privacy glass, virtual cockpit, flat bottomed steering wheel and hill hold assist. Also went for the grey leather after much debate. Didn't fancy black and wasn't brave enough to risk the red without seeing in in person.

The privacy glass was a must! Completes the looks on any prestige car.

The only other option I considered was the additional LEDs for £100 but decided to draw the line. Folding mirrors would have been nice but worth the cost.

Now the long wait until end of March!

Agree however id go with privacy for both. I have spoken to a few mates who have said not to bother with tinting as it never looks perfect and they know im fussy. So have Audi finding out how much the glass is to retrofit as its now bugging me that much that i didnt spec it.

Glad it wasn't just me deliberating whether to go for the privacy glass or not confusedsmile

I uhm'd and ahh'd and originally placed my order without it, only to add it to my order 1 wk later..

Glad I did now. It was added to config ok, I just have to pay the extra £375 directly to the dealer on delivery.

My final spec (Sportback) ended up as:

Navarro Blue
Rotor Grey leather
B&O 3d Sound
Flat wheel
Virtual Cockpit
Folding mirrors
Hill Hold
Privacy Glass

Think that's it smile

Having hill hold and folding mirrors at present (on the A7), they were a couple of "smaller" options I felt I'd really miss if not there, esp as we live near narrow lanes and I'm always flicking them in to save them from white van man..!

Do you chaps declare all of these factory fitted options to your insurer?

No need IMO, as they are factory fitted options.

Just set your GAP insurance sum insured to the list price of the vehicle including all options (this value should be on your order form), (and don't forget to also insure the initial payment amount if you have taken a multiple upfront payment lease profile as its peanuts to cover), and you should be sorted biggrin

I popped into Cheshire Oaks Audi today after a meeting to have a look at their S5 coupe that they have in stock. It's in Nivarra blue and it was close to getting dark so I couldn't really appreciate the colour too much. It hadn't been PDI'ed either so was looking like it needed a good clean too.

As was mentioned earlier, the virtual cockpit looks nice but I think it's going to be a novelty thing that'll wear off pretty quick once you settle on which kind of display works best for you. It had a flat bottomed steering wheel which looked nice as too did the grey leather...although I'm glad I went for the red leather on my sportback!

The nappa leather was very soft and the seats quite hard and supportive so no issues there for me.

I started it up and it did sound pretty beefy to be honest especially when giving it a couple of thousand revs! wink

I liked the small details like the 'S' illuminated sills which in fact were exactly the same as an S line that they had in the showroom so god knows why Audi didn't put S5 on the sills instead!!

Also, the interior lighting looked nice as too did the white rings on the cup holders in the front biggrin

The girl from Audi wasn't sure if it was a stock car or a customer car of if it was going to be a demonstrator. It would be nice to see it in daylight once it's had a good detail...or should that be 'valet' as it's a car garage lol

Oh and finally, I think the 19in wheels look small on the car...

Looks quite good - have gone off Navarra Blue though I have to say. The privacy glass really does set it off and I also agree on the wheels - they do look small and dont fill the arches enough. This car really needs 20" wheels but on the flip side they would have been an expensive option.
I am disliking more and more the sheer amount of chrome on the car - fingers crossed a third party starts selling black grilles and there is a way to wrap or cover the chrome window surrounds and mirrors in black. Think someone else on here is exploring those options too.
Also starting to think the SportBack is the nicer looking car - the coupe looks quite dumpy at the back especially from the side.

The seats with the stitching are the upgraded ones, anyone seen / have a pic of the standard S5 seats?
