Insurance was actually less than a lot of other cars I looked at like the s3 and m240. However I am 29 with 10 years no claims.

Can't comment on how they credit score you on every situation. My partner got approved for a 30k a4 estate and she earns about 18k so I don't think the annual earnings comes into it.

My credit score isn't great due to a fair few unsecured loans and airmiles credit cards etc but no problems for this car.

They come with Cavos. Some have got theirs now.
Brilliant, not keen on the Rotors. I think they change the look of the car massively.

They are a cost option that IMO look a bit better on certain colours (red for example) but a lot of the first dealer cars had them despite them not officially being an option at that time.

Surely it is on topic. This thread has always been about leased s5's. Including whats good and bad. What to expect from your s5's and what to be aware of. Not just about current lease deals and delivery times.
I agree, especially since quite a few people have theirs or will be getting theirs in the next week or so. The Golf R thread (only other specific model lease thread I am following) is very similar.
I agree too.

The idea was to have a thread where people taking up the S5 lease offer could waffle about the car's features, the spec they ordered, the endless waiting for them to arrive (granted, I didn't know about that bit when I started the thread!) the actual cars when they arrive and their opinions on them, lies/dislikes, etc. to keep it off the main lease offers thread.

I'm probably more guilty than anyone of taking it off topic due to my rantngs about the delays and then deciding to cancel and buy a BMW instead.
Mine's at Grimsby too. Makes me Mr Grumpy. Given there is now a seperate post for S5 drivers (lucky sods) feedback and opinions I would have expected to see the noise discussion to be on that thread, not both! Just an observation!

Anyway Monday tomorrow, another working day and maybe we'll see some movement.....and maybe we won't.

Fair point re: the 2 threads.

Out of interest, I'm still keeping an eye on the one I cancelled just to see how long it eventually takes.

That one hasn't yet made it as far as the UK, despite being built 18th Feb and into QC on 20th.

What was your build date and how long has it been in Grimsby?

My Monday morning update - To say that there is nothing to update.
My car is still showing on the tracker as being " arrived in the UK" it hasn't changed from this for well over a week now.
Was told last week that the car should arrive with the supplying dealer (JCT 600) by the middle of this week so was hoping that maybe this morning it was showing that it had moved........

Snap. I am going to ring V4B this morning to see what the crack is. He did tell me it wasn't likely to be this month (he said she had had to ask somebody further up to see if they could squeeze it through). That to me means they will have it this week but not have time to PDI and deliver it.

I don't mind getting the car in April but just want it registered in March. There is no way I'm going to pay the extra VED because it got registered on the 2nd, 3rd of April

No movement on mine either :-( they are still confident they will receive it before the end of the month and said to just ring back everyday for an update.

I have been told this morning that my car will be at the dealer on the 30th or 31st and then it will be "around 5 working days until you get it". Whether that was just a ploy to get me off the phone until the back end of the week I don't know!

I emphasised the importance to me of it being here on or by the 5th if possible as the Golf is going for some paintwork corrections the day after, so if they could improve on a 5 day turnaround it would be useful.

There is a light at the end of the tunnel at least if I know when it's going to the dealer. It will have been at Grimsby two weeks by then.

I hope they took the blocks out of the suspension though! wink

Mine had a build date of the 20th and left the factory on Saturday morning. Fingers crossed it doesn't sit in a massive car park for too long.
