So just got told "Audi can't really register the car until In physical stock, it's against company policy" and they even asked the head director, the car is at the uk dock, think I'm being told porkies
They are telling you bull**it. Mine was registered at Grimsby docks on the day of arrival by my Audi main dealer.

Not exactly but I drove a 335d xdrive, 330d and a 340i plus test drove a C220d AMG Line Plus. Not really what your asking but it did allow me to decide I dont like the Merc interiors (tacky and dust magnets) and the styling of the coupe makes it look melted (like it sat by the fire too long) with the rear sitting to high. We have a Merc dealer opposite work and one of the guys is driving a C43 - sounds a bit more meaty than the S5 but not much in it.
As for the BMW's they are feeling their age and standard equipment is pretty dire but the 340i sounds very nice (better than S5 and C43) in my view and the interior to me was nicer than the Merc. You see the BMW's everywhere though and it just didnt feel special.
Basically are the BMWs and Mercs the better car (cost not considered) like the magazines would have us think?

The BMWs don't do enough to differentiate base models from top models IMO, and the dials looks like they are from the '90s. Dash is ok quality wise but I think they have some catching up to do vs the Audis. I may have had a C43 if it had been the same money as the S5, but I still think I would have preferred the Audi. The Merc does the most to differentiate itself from lesser models and I do think the interior is ok but again nowhere near the Audi.

The 335xd is probably what I would have got if the S5 hadn't come up. How does that compare to the S5 in terms of driving?

I received forms with Reg number on while it was at docks. See below. However, if the car is just being held at port and isnt scanned to stock yet then the above stacks up.

5th Mar - Car on way to UK (on the boat)
7th Mar - Your Audi has arrived in the UK
9th Mar - Paperwork received from Fleetsauce for Signature
10th Mar - Signed Paperwork arrives back at Fleetsauce
17th Mar - Tracker shows as arrived at Dealer
20th Mar - Car at Dealer and in PDI

I had a 335d for a few days to test drive. Very quick car and a lot better on fuel than the S5. The interior was pretty boring IMO, and the cost option to have an upgraded infotainment was mad. When I test drove the S5 it was so much more refined and the rest is history. Like the other post said: BMW's all look the same and are everywhere.

Tracker has updated to 'Arrived' today.

Spoke to Audi who said it isn't physically there yet but should be later today or tomorrow. I think the tracker must have updated once it was scanned and on the transporter. Still chasing FS to send me the docs though!

Anyone else had any updates?

Ah they've finally been separated :-( they'd been moving along together so expected yours to be on the same transporter.

I couldnt get my head around the 330d rwd being a much sweeter drive from a steering and handling perspective than the 335d xdrive. You would hope the more expensive flagship diesel would be the best.
I second the infotainment upgrade - you really have to take it as well otherwise you have a small square screen in a large rectangular frame

My docs have a registration date of the 31st. They are expecting it in back end of this week.

To be honest yours could be on the same loader. I rang expecting them to say its there but they said a few days so either my tracker updated too early or they are lying lol could be either to be honest. I'll see what registration date mine has on it when I receive the docs.

Wow, will try and beat that tomorrow on a 200 mile motorway run. Will be nice to see something different from 20mpg for a change.

I wouldn't get your hopes up too much, most of us that had the tracker update to "arrived" ( as in arrived in the UK) have then had to sit at least a week before the car was then transported to the dealer.

Reckon there's at least 3 of us V4B people waiting on JCT600 Sheffield to pull the cars from Grimsby
Me, you, jetskijezz are the three? Unless I have missed somebody?
Mine is through fleet source, but with JCT600.
Yesterday they confirm that my car would be arriving at the fleet depot on 29th - but that there was no way it could be delivered to me by the end of the week. I have requested Friday 31st which they were trying to achieve. it has however been confirmed that my car is definitely going to be registered by the end of the month.
I'm actually away from Friday lunchtime until Monday afternoon on a "boys weekend". If I hadn't been going away I think I would have been going to collect it myself, but just not enough time to think about doing this ahead of the weekend.

Melissa from JCT600 has be really good throughout, I mentioned the key tag and she is specifically going to check my keys before my car is dispatched

The good news is that I now have my delivery date booked in for Tuesday 4th April - it's going to be delivered on a transporter. - this also happens to be my birthday, so looking forward to treating myself to a new car for my birthday present.

I've had the docs come through but the figures are way different from what was originally agreed. Could just be an admin error so have gone back to FS about it.

Anyone else have the same experience?

Mine were correct, way different in what respect? Hugely expensive or a different term?

Initial rental is around £1300 more than agreed.
Payments are around £20 more than agreed.

Hoping it is just an admin error!

Just taken delivery, white coupe with red interior. Am at work, will take pics later. First impressions are that it looks MUCH better in the flesh, inside and out. Having driven it around the block for 2 minutes, sounds great too.

So for those still waiting, I would say that it's very much worth the wait... so far at least!
