Hi all, sorry if this has been mentioned but does anyone know how to reset the MMI back to factory settings and remove my phone as a key etc?

I’ve skimmed the manual and found how to delete the sat nav settings but not the MMI.

I don’t have VC if that makes any difference.

Cheers

Legend, thank you.

Ended up frantically searching the filing cabinet for the plastic code but found it!

Its been suggested I post here, had a break-in last night, spare keys taken and my Audi A1 and Audi S4 Avant taken at 1:25am from Oxfordshire, took a while to work out the Audi App had location tracking, but we managed to find the A1 parked up in Solihull, police have found it and its now recovered. This may have been even quicker if I had spotted the tiny location icon at the bottom of the IOS App ..

This leads me on to the issue in hand, I dont have the S4 Avant registered, its in the App but I need the 10 digit barcode which stupidly (I know) was attached to the spare keys which were stolen, its one of those jobs I never quite got round to.

I'm convinced that the Telematics are always running (the S4 is a lease via Audi) its just I cant view the car as I cant register it, does anyone know of a way of getting Audi to reveal the location of my car ?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, as pointed out why would I want the car back ? Its mine, I pay for it and I really dont want the hassle of trying to get a new car in the next 6 months ..

Hi. I have an Audi S5 due to go back end of next month. Initially had it for 2 years, but extended last year so will have had for 36 months in total.

Called Audi today to see what my options were. They offer formal extensions (both 6 and 12 month) but the monthly rates were stupid - over £1000 + VAT per month (I am currently paying £295!).

They then said I could take an informal extension - keep the same monthly rentals (with pro rata mileage extension) for 3 months, with option to extend for 6 months in total. They said I could contact BCA at any time (assuming the open soon!) to hand the car back (so not tied in for 3 months) and they would offer pro rata refund of monthly rentals.

I am tempted to go for this option - I won't have to pay for MOT. I need to check that there won't be any pending services which would increase the price. Other risk is car will be out of warranty. I thought this option would work for me while I see how the lease market plays out the next few weeks/months as there aren't many great deals at the moment - if there is a good deal I can always contact Audi to end the contract.

I think I have thought everything through but am I missing anything? I looked at option of purchasing car from Audi but they are still quoting approximately £26k for car which I think is expensive in the current climate.

Don’t worry about it being out of warranty- it’s not your car if anything breaks and you have a contract with them to supply you with a working car(as long as you don’t break it of course) If the car doesn’t work it’s their issue. Any consumables are your responsibility if you don’t have maintenance. Might be worth checking disc and pad thicknesses.

Hey mate that was my plan too until the x3m came along smile I think you need to get brake fluid done at the 36 month point it will say on the Audi app. Good news it’s only about 100 as like most German brands it’s 1/2 price service outside warranty.

I ended mine a month or two early about 34 months and paid the termination fee. Was painless handback but a PITA for my credit rating as Vwfs said I missed a payment took a while for then to fix with equifax and transunion

I'm in the exact same situation but with an S4 instead. Wasn't sure if you can extend after extending once. I'm afraid I'm not ready to give my baby back for an econobox yet frown

I think I am planning to informally extend my S5 for the next few months while awaiting for any deals to come up. My service light has come up as "inspection due in 3 days" (I have done approximately 17k miles and at end of 36 months) - is there any way to reset this without penalty or will I just have to pay the service before handing the vehicle back. Seems a waste as I will only be keeping the car for an additional 1-2 months likely.

I think it's normal to have a 30 day grace period for servicing (I know it was with MB) but beyond that you'd be pushing it.

Mine is booked to go back 10 days before its next oil service is due thankfully!

Take it to an Audi dealer as they may decide its come on too early. My car (A4 S-Line) was booked in Jan 2nd for a service following the count down but when I got there they said it had come on too early and just re-set it and sent me on my way. It then showed the service as due in May - so I decided to cut my costs and return the car early in March.

I handed mine back at 33 months in that time it had oil service at oil at 12k and 2 year inspection and oil (Just a fancy extra pricey oil service) at 18k

Car seemed to be on both service types and couldn’t get a straight answer out of anyone that had a vested interest . So confusing. Probably peddled by the dealers to rinse more. Shopping around for both saved 500 in total.

Bca on inspection couldn’t give a rats arse about it just the computer was showing ok. Perhaps Vwfs later would do I don’t know really.

Same here re servicing - managed to save a ton by shopping around doing them together. It’ll need an oil service 10 days after going back which is good timing.
