So who actually has their car on here? Or who expects it by end of Jan?
Id be curious to know if anyone near me (Liverpool) is getting a sportback as i would fancy a nosey!
I'm in Preston Brook area and will be getting a Sportback (hopefully) by the end of March! (Black car with red leather)
Great colour combo! Be interesting to have a coupe and SB side by side!

Some "real life" photos of a black/black coupe here.

http://www.sinclairaudi.co.uk/used-car-details/use...

Mines a black/black SB and was thinking of red leather. However, having seen photos of this one, the black/silver contrasts all over the car, in and out, look great. The silver highlights inside and the silver contrast stitching on seats really lift what could have been a bland interior.

PS Can anyone give me a rough inidication of timescales from the car going to "in transit" to it arriving on your doorstep?

Need to sell the current car and want to time it best I can.

I've only just noticed how big the calipers look on the picture below. They look like 6 pots too...

Those deals look pretty good to me. Strange none of them have the VC listed as an option though..? Or does that form part of the L&V pack..?

A watched pot never boils

Ohh, just one more time..............Still the 10th April....dam!

hehe

The sad thing is, I'm getting a Sportback, but my original order was for a Coupe, so I have the numbers for both..the Coupe is in the country and was registered on the 4th January. cry

Current cars going back at the end of April anyway (I was having a 4 week period with both cars), so I really need to get a grip, cut it down to 2 hrs of youtube videos a day biggrin

This petrolhead thing can be like a disease sometimes.wobble and if previous experience is anything to go by I'll be board in 12 months and looking at what the next one will be!

Wishing the red callipers were standard. Looks good!

Note the last Quattro audi I had on contis munched them up in 10k miles. Not holding out much hope for the S5! Will likely need a new set if doing around 16k miles of mainly town driving over the term.

Mrs Moods SLK goes back in Sept. I'm hoping we can go down to one car for a bit as hers will have only done about 6k in 3 years. It's just the convenience of two cars! Plus fun summer top down driving!

I made a mistake on Sunday of calling into one of my nearest Audi dealerships, haven't intended to call in, but was taking my son to the cinema and got the wrong time and we had and have to kill with our garage within a stones throw where we were.
I say I made a mistake because all it did was reaffirm that I have chosen the right car and has made the pain of waiting for it even worse.

Unfortunately managed to look at or sit in an S5, they have demonstrated that it wasn't available.
I was however able to have really good look at an A5 s-line coupe. I was really impressed with the quality and finish of the interior, it felt like a very well put together car using high quality materials.
I asked about the sport back, the lady I spoke to took me through to the preparation Bay and showed me the A5 s-line sport back that had just arrived on Friday. She was telling me that it wasn't officially being launched until the end of this week, but she was happy for me to have a look around it.
The coupe was grey metallic and the sport back was flat black which was ideal as it's the black one I've ordered

The seats felt really firm and really supportive, one of the cars had a flat bottomed steering wheel and the other didn't and to be honest I didn't really notice until I was trying to compare both of them to see what the differences were.I really like the Alcantara seats from the S-line.

I then had a good look at an S4 Avent, so between those three cars I feel I have seen almost every aspect of an S5 sportback and I very much liked what I saw.
One thing that has been worrying me as being all the chrome on the car, I was convinced that I would probably end up having it wrapped in gloss black to do is at least some if not all of it, however having now seen it in the flesh I think it looks really good and probably will end up leaving it exactly as delivered.

I still can't make up my mind if I want to go and have a test run - after all I have ordered the S5 sportback, so part of me thinks it will be nice to have it arrive having never driven one, but the other part of me is very impatient and wants to know what it will be like so probably will end up driving it over the next few weeks.

Someone a page or so back mentioned you might be able to change your spec still, well, that was way more hours than I'd like to admit over the weekend back on the configurator again, privacy glass, red or grey or blue metallic, red calipers on or off!

I even read two threads on the merits or lack of, of flat bottomed steering wheels!laugh

Well it could be worse I suppose, probably cheaper if I was addicted to hookers and coke mind you.hehe Who pays 300 pounds for their brake calipers to be a different colour...me!

Now...just one more look at My Audi before I finish work, just in case smile

I read in a review they were 6 piston, I was pretty surprised! The B8 calipers were nowhere near that size. They do look pretty hefty in red, and look good, but £350 is steep IMO.

This really annoys me as well. It's the same on my a4... have to manually slide the wheel to the right and select radio text (or something like that) but gives a button ugly text display with far to much info... don't know how to just get song title and artist!.

Been playing with both the android auto and car play voice features and so far the android voice seems to get my song choices more accurately but carplay looks and feels better.

Also started using the handwriting pad thing... it's actually a lot easier and faster to write letters whilst driving than trying to enter them with the wheel.
