Anyone know how they detach from the bumper? Anyone removed one?

My 2007 Audi A3 parking sensors are not working, just giving a long beep. I know which sensor is not working as its not clicking like the others. I have an S-line which has a slightly different bumper but if I remove the bottom screws I can just about get my hand up and have checked the connector tight, I also know I can get a new sensor for about £12 on e-bay.

What I can't work out from any forums is how it clips to the bumper. Pictures show a small tab on the side, not sure if it twists slightly to release or if there is something else.

If anyone knows it would be appreciated. Thanks. Nick.

Make sure they are Factory Audi and not the accessory kit. Fit differently. Has you car got the "on/off" button on the dash.

Anyway, rear lights off. rear trim from the bott area off. Screws round the wheel arches. Screws along the bottom edge

But if you can get your hand up the back.

These are glues to the bumper on the inside. Push the lugs outwards and push the sensor inwards towards the car

Thanks Rich, yes they are factory fitted. Only have rear reversing (not front) sensors so no button on the dash.

Looking at the lugs I can see how they should come out, far better to know what to expect than risk snapping something off.

Cheers.

Update if anyone else has a problem:

Really easy job in the end, bought a brand new sensor from e-bay for £12, a thin coat of primer, two coats of paint (I already had) and a clear lacquer coat. Left to dry for 24hrs.

Knew which one was not working as was not 'clicking'. Unscrew bottom two screws under the rear valence, three around the wheel arch. On the s-line you can get your hand up to them, unclip them out. New one in. Matches perfect and works fine. Five screws back in.

Took about 20 minutes painting, 15 minutes to fit.

Evening folks I have a faulty factory fitted rear sensor that I need to replace on my 2007 A3 s line. Does anyone know the part number so that I can order one? Thanks.
