Golf R Mk7 Facelift

Sorry if this has been covered, but anyone know if orders are being taken on this yet, or when it is most likely to enter the range. I've been looking to upgrade my GTi mk7 but wanted to wait until the facelift arrived.

For anyone else interested, I've managed to get hold of my contact at the local dealership (brand director for VW) and they believe orders will be opened towards the end of the month.

Does he happen to know when the new GTD will be out/available to order? I've tried every avenue available to me and got nowhere so far!

I assume the same time from them telling me the "new golf" would be available order, rather than specific to the R.

My Mk 7 R order has today, just been confirmed it'll now be built as a 7.5 R. I'm pretty happy about that.

I ordered as a Mk7, Dynaudio, nav upgrade and 6 speed manual in Limestone. The dealer cocked up by ordering too late for the Mk7 and VW are honouring the car and pushing it through as a facelift now.

I've no idea whats standard specs are etc, I'm guessing there won't be less equipment, so long as I get my original options (I've been told I will) I'm not too bothered.

I will be contacting a couple of dealers tomorrow then as maybe they can start putting order through?

Anyone else having success ordering because I'm still being told it isn't yet on the system. I believe they have been able to order in Germany etc for quite a while.

Also there is a rumour that the winter pack, heated seats etc, won't be standard, nor an option! Hope that isn't the case, as I'm looking to spec a winter R.

On the plus side, they are offering the upgrade 19" wheels as an 18" option (judging by the German configurator), plus you can have them in black.
