Are any of your cars DSG? Apparently that's the reason for my build date being later than most peoples ... according to CVL
Mine is a DSG.Had a call from the dealer yesterday to arrange collection. Car isn't with them yet but they said it would be a couple of days.
Collection booked for March 3rd so a little earlier than I expected and was told last week.
I ordered mine on the 5th of Jan and was given a build date of sometime in late april. Ive been checking the order tracker everyday since then and now its moved up to 6th of March build date. Used CVl also, My current lease car went back on the 7th of feb, I was told the car would arrive in the UK first week of March. So I have been without a car for some time and will be for a while.
Quick update
Just a timeline for people that have ordered
Car order 11/01
Build week 16/01
Built 23/01
Transported to dock 25/01
Shipped to U.K. Around the 9th or 10th as it arrive the 12th
Just waiting for it to arrive at dealership
Spoke to them today and they think they can turn it around in 24 hrs for me to pick up

Exactly the same as me pal ... order date and build week almost indentical and I also have an issue with my current lease car as it's due to go back on the 3rd March. CVL have lied to me on three occasions now and have been p*ss poor from start to finish but nothing we can do now! They reckon the delivery will be early April HJMS123 said:

I'm picking up a hire car for a few weeks tomorrow. Don't have a choice i'm afraid. But its better than being stranded without a car and using uber's and taxis everywhere. petelinden said:
mine had a build week of the 16/01/2017 and had been built by the end of the week but now on week 2 of being in transit
spoke to the dealer and all they had was that it had left the factory 2-3 weeks was the estimate for delivery, she asked if it could be delivered straight away and for me that's even better as I have a house move I am in the middle of. So as soon as it arrives they will be giving me a call to arrange delivery.
It seemed to zoom upto this point then just sat there on the tracker overall pretty impressed with the dealer which is Inchcape Telford
Same dealer as mine, not sure why as it's nearly 200 miles away but they seem to keep you updated and in the loop which is great. spoke to the dealer and all they had was that it had left the factory 2-3 weeks was the estimate for delivery, she asked if it could be delivered straight away and for me that's even better as I have a house move I am in the middle of. My order is currently in transit, has been for a little over a week or so now. Ordered 6/1/17, build week was 6/2/17.
Not sure exactly when the dealer is expecting to receive the car but i received all the documents to sign last week and that stated the registration date as 7th march, not sure if this is genuine or not.
When I ordered my Golf R in 2014, that had three stages at stage 5, a, b and c, so you kinda knew where the car was and could even track the boat. This one for the Scirocco seems slightly different for some reason. Hoping to get the car a few days into march but will see how that pans out, looking forward to it. Have been without a car since the Golf R went back in December, interesting to see how the two compare. Baffles me as to why the standard specs are so different though!
My car 'Arrived in the UK' on the tracker yesterday and just received my finance agreement and documents to sign. Annoyingly I have to send a cheque to the fulfilling dealer and can't pay by credit/debit card.
Also have my registration number. all very exciting. I want it now! but need to arrange a collection for my current lease and sort out new insurance.

In what way are they different? The Scirocco better specced? Who is going to be the first to post up a picture with their new one, just over a week to go!!
Both had their advantages as a standard car, Golf had electric folding mirrors and adaptive cruise control, Scirocco has full leather and DCC, golf had cloth and DCC was an option. Golf was also 300bhp. You would think the specs are all the same across the R range.
Yeah, the Rocco is the more expensive car, and it's not MQB based? Is that right, essentially I was holding out for new version, based on the new Golf R, a 310bhp 4WD Scirocco would have been amazing, but alas not to be!
This will do fine though, cruise would have been nice, but i'll take DCC over it as I mainly avoid Motorway driving.

Yes, the Rocco is based on the old platform and also uses the old engine not the EA888 in the new VAG's.This will do fine though, cruise would have been nice, but i'll take DCC over it as I mainly avoid Motorway driving.
I'm with you on the cruise as although most need it, it's the only option I'm not bothered about! If it was adaptive then it'd be nice but I use the motorway a handle of times per year.

Hows everyones orders coming along? Dealership should receive my documents today and then need to pay the initial payment. That will allow me to arrange a delivery.
Hoping for you guys to post some pictures once you get yours.
