Hi all,
Wondering if anyone has seen this before, on a couple of occasions I have been travelling on the m62 both directions around the leeds managed motorway sections, and I have seen the speed camera signs showing 60 limits, then one random 50 limit on the camera gantry, then back up to 60. Literally no reason even for the 60 limit, roads fairly quiet, good visibility and conditions.
The 60 signs all on gantries with no cameras on, then one with a camera has 50 on, straight back up to 60 for the next non camera gantry and then onto no restrictions after that. All over a period of around 1.5 miles and day 5 gantrie, no reason on the info signs.

Am I being silly or is this just something to catch people out?

P.s I haven't been caught by any of these, just interested to know if it's just me that's noticed this

M4 near Newport and Cardiff is the same.

Just because you are paranoid, doesn't mean that they aren't actually out to get you...

Same on the M6 yesterday. About 5 miles of 60 speed camera's, then one random 50mph one, before going back to miles of 60 limits again.

The "official" answer i think is that the software that monitors the traffic does so for some distance ahead of said gantries and usually when you get to the holdup it has vanished i.e. slowing you down beforehand has done its job and theoretically less congestion. Bcause it is a camera ganrty is purely coincidental (oh yeah !)
