I only collected it from him last night and drive home very steady as the roads were dreadful and didn't want to get it dirty smile and not had a really good look yet but what I could see is stunning and a lot better than new.

Costs in the region of £400 - £500 depending what you want doing.

Have a look at some of his work https://www.facebook.com/TheDetailKing1/?pnref=sto...
Thanks, I may consider getting something done but Ill wait and see.

Had the car just over a week now but not driven it an awful lot, and the last two days its been at the detailers to have the ceramic coating applied. The sound isn't loud even in dynamic mode but what is there does sound quite nice and a little throaty. Even starting it up in dynamic isn't as loud as our Mini JCW in normal mode so its a little disappointing. I don't know what the B8 S4/S5 V6 sounded like but I had a B6 and B7 V8 S4 which were a bit louder, well the B6 a lot louder with sports cats. If it could be tweaked just a little without messing around with the exhaust then I'd be interested, something like you used to be able to do with the vacuum pipes on some cars. For now I have set the individual mode to auto for the gearbox, comfort for the steering and dynamic for the exhaust.

In terms of driver comfort and poise etc nothing to do with speed, it is a lot more comfortable and better steering and damping than a previous gen A5 BE that we had. Averaging over 25mpg so far over 200 miles so not bad but that is mainly 30 and 40 mph limit rural roads with a couple of blasts where road and traffic permitted.

These pics were taken by Courtney from The Detail King with some before after pics bearing in mind the before pics are of the car that has only been washed by the dealer and not prepped by them as requested by Courtney. I had to go a whole week after collecting the car without washing or touching it as Courtney could do it before then. Its had 4 layers of C.Quartz Finest on the paintwork and he's also ceramic coated the wheels and treated the leather and engine bay.

Looks awesome, I could see myself back in an Audi with one of these in a couple of years smile

The car looks stunning, a fantastic job of giving it a real deep gloss by the looks of things.
This really has made me want to arrived quicker - I got my fingers crossed it arrives by the end of next week. I have all of my products ready and the time set aside to spend a day on it myself stripping it back, applying the wax and ceramic sealant myself, it's something I really enjoy doing.

Heard anything today? I haven't. I think it's our cars she is finding out about.

Is there a way to keep the gear box in manual? Even in dynamic I find it drops back to auto after a short time?

Also has anyone noticed the speedometer doesnt seem to keep up? I let go of the accelerator at 35 after 100% acceleration from 10mph. Then i was at 50mph afterward it caught up.....

To put it into full manual mode you need to push the gear lever over to the left when in drive, this is how most autos work in manual mode. If its going into auto after a short while after using the paddles then it must be in drive.

I haven't noticed the speedo not keeping up although I don't look at the VC unless I'm checking the computer or telephone etc as I've got the head up display.

I know what you mean about enjoying detailing a car, it is very therapeutic when you have the time set aside to take your time doing it. Its horrible when you're on a time limit and your other half is shouting at you to get ready to go out or dinners ready smile

My latest update is to say that they have received my signed paperwork. All I have at the moment is that my car is due to arrive with JCT600 " by the middle of next week" - I've no idea if that means it might arrive on Monday or not until the end of Wednesday. I have asked if it's feasible for it to be delivered by midday on Friday 31st and have been told that they will try their best.

How about yours, what have you been told?

I was meant to be hearing today if I am going to get it this month. If I don't get it very late next week it's early the week after. I haven't had paperwork yet though as they were waiting for a definite date first.

You just need to keep pushing the paperwork, I've always been polite with my chasing but started getting a little frustrated by Wednesday when the car had been in the UK for a week and there was still no sign of it being registered.

Well, registered doesn't bother me in terms of VED but I want the car. But I suppose the end of March/early April doesn't make a lot of difference to me now I am reshoeing the back of the golf for 900 miles. Which is a bit of a bummer tbh.

Sorry, I keep forgetting that you have a deal agreed with regards to the VED. Still frustrating that we can't get the cars any quicker. I can't work out whether it's because of this pending increase and excess workload or whether this is just how Audi work?

Probably a bit of both. But V4B told me today that Audi are the only company they work with who won't register the vehicle at the docks?

I thought some people had got theirs done. Doesn't affect me I just thought it was an odd piece of information.

Yeah but they are paying the VED so it makes no difference where thru register it. So not sure why they would make it up!

Here's something interesting & very disappointing: Took the spare wheel out yesterday, and underneath in an upright black plastic cowl I noticed a 6" bloody loud speaker!!.....I did think that it was louder inside in dynamic mode than outside, but thought it may have been some exhaust resonance from underneath, obviously not. I HATE the idea of any fake sounds, so I will just disconnect the stupid thing if it is what I think it is.
