When advertising on Autotrader a DSG box is not a MANUAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Applies to others as well.

To be fair the details are usually uploaded via a registration lookup and I know from experience that DSG gearboxes tend to load as manuals. It is however surely worth the dealers spending a few seconds amending them to 'auto' though to make them easier to find in searches!

I can tell my local dealer on your behalf however I think it's unrealistic that I'll be able to communicate the message to all Audi and VW dealerships. I'll probably therefore have to ask that someone shares the [messaging] load if that's okay OP?

My car is a manual but the V5 says it's a S/A, which is a pain in the @rse when using any registration look up databases. They managed to get the CO2 value correct so the VED is correct for a manual.

My cynical side makes me think they do this on purpose to draw attention to a car that might be seen as less desireable to many buyers. I think this is why when you visit the Approved Used Cars pages on the Audi and MINI websites (to name just two) you cannot filter the results for items that were specific options when the cars were new e.g. auto-dimming rear view mirror or rear parking sensors etc.

It is simply because the data uploads automatically and there are occasionally mistakes/errors in this.

If you're doing volume then manually correcting errors through Autotrader Portal etc. is a complete pain in the behind.

I do a relatively small volume and still hate trawling through for silly errors...

Widen the umbrella to the BMW Approved Used Car site please.

Utterly appalling - blatantly incorrect colours for the interior, and the inconsistency in standard/extras between cars & dealers just results in utter confusion unless you become a BMW geek.

I consider it a very unprofessional site, but I suppose one looks at most BMW drivers and think "well, they deserve it"

Note I said "most"

....and another thing.

Looked online at an AUC BMW 340 Touring.

Pictures were an X4, not even the stated colour inside or out.
