There is a lot the S5 does that you never knew unless you have studied the manual (aka encyclopaedia) in detail. Here is what I have discovered so far, but some may know this already and want to add more........

Download Audi MMI Connect & mobile to your smartphone to remote lock & unlock, use car finder, and other useful info.
The seat bolsters 'firm up' on corners using Google maps whist driving. [Edit] Apparently it has to be 'enabled' via OBD.
In the summer, hold down the unlock button on the key fob and all the windows will open, hold down lock button to close.
Push the volume button left or right to change tracks on media
Push the volume button down to cancel any radio traffic alert, press to mute radio, media etc
You can program the * button on the steering wheel to change drive select
You can watch videos on the MMI screen by selecting the correct format on the SD card (not whilst driving I hope!!)

This should be a great thread as we all get to know the car a little better.

Do the bolsters firm up on their own when corning? as I haven't noticed this yet but not driven it much or pushed it too much yet. I did have a play with the message seats yesterday morning and preferred the wave function to the other settings.

Yes, Google maps tell the seats there is a corner!

to get an e manual (US copy only) go to http://ownersmanual.audiusa.com and get a VIN online by searching for '2018 Audi S5 VIN'

Is this mentioned in the owners manual? Just curious if it's the same on my S4 that's being built.

Should be the same in the S4 if its in the S5. Would be more hassle than its worth making it different. Its a cool feature if it is on!

I downloaded the manual and can't seem to see anything in there but it's a great idea smile Roll on May...

Me neither, but it is there (albeit subtle). They probably do not mention it as you cannot turn it on or off, and is just part of the system. Would imagine the S4 has it as well as it is the same interior.

Another thing I have discovered which could have nasty consequences if you forget:
If you park the car and do not press P on the shifter, the car will not lock when you press the lock button although you may think it had (without looking at the indicator flash to tell you when you walk away). There are no lock/unlock beeps to tell you other than the indicator flashes. You can enable this via the OBD though, so I am deffo going to do this.

Here's a good one (probably works better in summer). Lock your car. Leave it for 2 hours then come back and the boot has a good chance to be open......

Have you mentioned that twice in the lease thread or are you the second person to have had that issue?

Had that once with my B8 S4 Avant... Is it just ajar or (like on the S4 with powered tailgate) gaping wide open?

Fully open.

I've just contacted the dealer telling them about it. I also told them that i can no longer shut the boot with the key fob. They say you cannot close the boot with the key fob button. But i've done this 3-4 times and now it just makes a noise on the boot latch so its trying to do something.

Can anyone else confirm if you can open and close the boot with key fob?

Eh they are saying their demo S5 doesn't close the boot with the key fob. I've definitely done this with mine because I was teasing the kids with it saying it was voice automated....

Does the coupe not do it? Can anyone on here confirm that their S5 sportback new model closes the boot with the keyfob after opening with key fob or internal button?

Coupe has "Electric boot lid release" while sportback has "Power operated tailgate". You see the same distinction between S4 saloon vs Avant.

I can't confirm about B9 S5, but on B8 Avants the power tailgate definitely cannot be closed with the fob.
