So my car is 12 months old and at 9500 miles but no sign of a service indicator yet.
Did your cars flash up a warning or indicator? If so what mileage?
I am thinking of getting the service done asap anyway - what kind of price have you all paid?
I replied on the other thread re the miles forgot to put how much! I got a oil and inspection quote from Audi dealers at 15000 miles and 1 year and they ranged from £475 (Harrogate) to £256 ish (Hull). So it's worth shopping about.Did your cars flash up a warning or indicator? If so what mileage?

I avoid the main stealers. Had an oil change done at a local Audi approved service centre & they updated the service record electronically for £120.00 all in. IMO they did a better job as well by checking ALL fluid levels, tyre pressures, & checked for any error codes, and even cleaned the car really well too . Also, I left the tuning box connected....no problem at all. The manager even said he would code anything (that works) for £40 if I gave him a list of tweaks I wanted!!….so obviously now working on my wish list.
Would this be Unit 18 by any chance?Martinto8 said:

Would this be Unit 18 by any chance? My 09/2017 S5 flagged up a 'service now' on the dash back in June. The local dealer said to go in to the MMI and reset it as it was showing in error. Funnily enough as part of a recent bit of un-related work, they gave me a print out showing good oil levels, etc. etc.
This week I got a text from the local dealer saying the service was due (no dash alert yet). The car has done less than 6,000 miles and I would really rather not pat £300 for an oil and filter change, but am very aware of the requirement for an 'approved' service stamp.
Can indy's be part of the 'approved' network in that way?

Following weekend to that; 4 new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S's = £679, less £100 cash back deal from Michelin = £579.
Is it really wearing rears as fast as fronts, or are you just changing so everything matches?JonChalk said:

OK, so Michelin PS4S's on now.
First impressions from a five mile, cold (3 degree) return journey;
Slightly quieter than the Hankooks.
Slightly sharper on turn in, yet somehow lighter feel.
Cracks / joints in road sound louder, but feel about same, if not slightly less jarring.
Haven't checked the pressures yet, so will do that later & reset to my preferred (I usually have them permanently at the pressures for fully loaded all the time).
Good rim protection as well (cleaning later):

Is it really wearing rears as fast as fronts, or are you just changing so everything matches?About to put mine in next week, 14 months old and the ticking or clicking from rear left, assuming suspension, is unbearable. Already been in and been palmed off told can’t hear it. Frustrating!
Windows in front incredibly squeaky on operation, likely needing lubrciated. Tyres are nowhere near as bad for road noise now they’ve worn in a bit. Brakes screeching hopefully they’ll agree to new pads this time.
The speaker quality on DAB radio I noticed has been very static sounding recently.
Overall car performing well and enjoying it, clunky box aside!

Just a small bump to see if anyone else has had similar issues. Garage reporting never been a software upgrade for gearbox also. Presume I’m being palmed off?Windows in front incredibly squeaky on operation, likely needing lubrciated. Tyres are nowhere near as bad for road noise now they’ve worn in a bit. Mine was in for it's service ( 18600 miles) - fronts down to 3mm rears 3.5-4mm. Hankooks and lots of motorway driving.
Returned just now ( collect and deliver) in the dark with the front parked away from the house. I'll just do a quick check with the phone torch.......
So just waiting for the service manager to call me back now.

I didn't have any form of problem with how my gearbox was working before oil change / service a couple of weeks ago.Nothing mentioned before or after.
However, it does now feel slightly sharper on take off at junctions - revs slightly lower before moving off, so effectively moves sooner for given throttle travel, if that make sense. At least that's how it feels.
