Hi all, first time in this section of the forum!

Looking to upgrade to a slightly bigger 'family' car... as so far me and the missus have been surviving with a KA & MINI, and now we have a little'n we're needing a change.

This is PistonHeads, so naturally my only input is something that has at least a little bit of go! My only prerequisite really is 0-60 in under 10 seconds. So a warm hatch really, the missus will want to keep other costs low. We only have a few thousand to throw at this really, and the listed ones are top of the list right now.

Ideally I'll be getting one with less miles, but the below is the models were looking at for examples...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Audi-A3-S-Line-TFSI-2-0l...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Seat-Leon-FR-2-0-TFSI-20...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2007-Volkswagen-Golf-1-4...

Appreciate any comparisons between them! As I know essentially they're all very similar cars. Others considered are A200 Turbo, Civic 1.8 VTEC & Astra SRi.

Thanks for the suggestions, unfortunately they're either too big or too powerful for the missus. At first she said a Focus was too big! But I'm gradually winning her round... MPS is lovely but way, way overkill.

If it was just me buying the car then it'd be a different story biggrin

I should add that she's only been driving for 2 years, and will be the main driver so it's insurance costs as much as experience etc.

Golf GTI Mk4 1.8T 150bhp cheap to buy, cheap to run, well built, 0-60 in 8.2.

A 80k miler will be sub £2k or an 'expensive' 50k miler would be £3.5k.
