Hi all. Posting this at work, so don't have time to use the search function.

A female colleague runs a '51 plate Golf 1.9TDI showing approx. 91000 miles. She's had it from new. Apparently, the car is now difficult to engage gears, vibrates etc. She's been quoted £700 (independant garage) for a fitted clutch kit and new flywheel. Does this sound about right and are the flywheels normally troublesome?

Any opinions would be useful. Thanks.

Richard.

No bother with mine (2002 TDI 130, 133K on the clock) but then I do mostly motorways and do clutchless changes when I'm feeling lazy, which saves wear smile
