The seats on the Pirelli model are a bit tacky IMO. Edition 30 is the way to go of you can find one
the seats are marmite I guess but I like them, the ED30 is a little plain. you can't beat the Pirellis' alloys

Just bought one last week, deal just under £24k, 5 door with every conceivable extra, think list price was in excess of £30K.

After having a TVR and 3.2 vectra, don't think the fuel consumption is that bad?

Great car.

Sorry but I think you might have paid slightly over the odds.

There will always be someone saying you paid over the odds. When I was looking I was told there were loads for £18-20....I couldn't find any and I called about 30 dealers.....

If you wrer happy to pay £24K then be happy and enjoy the car...I certainly am!!!

I seriously considered buying that before you got there, but in the end wanted to go down a slightly different road (coupe/sports car) so didn't bother in the end.
I must admit I'd have wanted it a little cheaper though.

Enjoy smile

I was watching Top Gear reruns on Dave. They had the test with the 130i. R32 was over a second quicker round their track and slotted just above the S4 on the lap time board.

I'm on the r32 forum ( username RWG ) you can see from my posts I'd paid a deposit at Warrington VW for a standard R32 in Black for £16745. I'd got this price after reading about it on the forum and then showing the dealer the website , he pulled a few strings and got me one on order. Having bagged what seemed to be the bargain of a lifetime I promptly sold my X5 (4.4 petrol) at a low price for a quick sale and my VX220 at reasonable money. Delivery was promised by the end of November. The dealer then started being a bit evasive and eventually said he could not honor the deal as the car I had paid a deposit on had already been allocated. I was well pissed off as you can imagine, spent the next few days trying to get the same deal elsewhere , or even upto £20k with DSG and leather but they just didn't seem to exist. Ended up buying a 55 reg Audi estate diesel and a Honda S2000 with the change

I think I remember seeing that very car on autotrader and thinking wow. It has a very nice spec indeed, and £17995 was a cracking price. Nice to see it sold to a fellow pistonheader, enjoy and please post some pics thumbup
