Volkwagen Passat 1.9 TDi PD 130

Could anybody please tell me if it is difficult to reset the service indicator on a '53 plate 1.9 tdi passat as i am keen to start servicing it myself at home. Many thanks.

press the trip meter everytime u start it and it goes off
doesnt affect the running of her

Or just hold in the trip meter reset button, turn on ignition, release trip meter button and turn the clock adjust to the right, release and turn ignition off and then on, should go be off then

This resets the service indicator to 10,000 or 1 year so dont use if your on longlife/variable servicing
