Hi folks, apologies if this a repost, but I couldnt find what I was after...

Anyway, title says it all really, who should I entrust with the tuning of a 2.0 Tdi. It has 138bhp from the factory and I was hoping to nudge it up by 50 or so...

Many thanks

Revo or custom code seem the most popular for remaps and have good results.

I was thinking maybe slightly beyond 'just' a remap... I know remaps are available all over the place (DMS, superchips, ABT etc...)

thanks

The current "actual" bhp is probably closer to 150 as VW tend to be conservative with there figures. It should remap up to about 185bhp. I quite like Superchips Bluefin as you get a warranty, you can remove/re-apply the map yourself on the fly and sell the bluefin unit on when you get rid of the car.

As mentioned above, there are lots of tuning options out there....upsolute do a good one, and you can decide how much torque or bhp you want (within reason). Surely you'd be better off doing that first, then seeing if you want to take things further?

I too am considering tuning a TDi Golf with a view to enhancing cruising economy and torque - which would be the best Mk4 variant and why?
