Golf R32 - Is this a good deal?
Discussion
Wondered into the local friendly (No! They are at our one, honest) VW dealer earlier with the wife to have a look at the new Golf Mk5.5 and noticed a clutch of unregistered R32's sat there at just under £23k. That looks like good value thinks I even if they have poverty specs so I take a closer look. All have the same spec
5-door
DSG
Leather
Touch screen Sat Nav
Parking sensors
x2 Blue x1 Black and x1 Grey
Now I am interested! So asked for a price against the wifes car (Golf GT TDi 140 on a 54 plate. DSG. 6-disk CD Cruise & rear parking and 55k miles)
Cut to the chase, they are offering 7k on the wifes and the R32's at £21k with a Feb 09 registration.
Tempted I must say What do you think? Any better deals on a new R32 out there? (must be 5-door)

You only need to pass a VW forecourt and you will know how many R32s are about, they are a discontinued model but they just have so many in stock brand new and slightly used.
If you're financing then you'd need a good deal, specially if it is on PCP. If you're paying in full I would beat them to 19-20k or have some goodies thrown in.
They are already heavily discounted but they aren't shifting and aren't easy to sell on once you take ownership.
Xenons are also a must, they really compliment the R32s look.

I know a guy in Sales at VW dealership. He says they are discounting these heavily as they need to get rid. They have one in their showroom. Its black 5 door with leather, newer touch screen nav and DSG. Not sure how much but I found myself thinking that would do for me. Anyway he did tell me you can get them brand new for like 18 to 19. Probably more with toys. Got to be easy for haggling if old shape and gas guzler Shirley.
This was covered the other week chap, this thread might help:

Xenons are standard on the R32If you're financing then you'd need a good deal, specially if it is on PCP. If you're paying in full I would beat them to 19-20k or have some goodies thrown in.

RNS510 Nav

Tinted rear

maybe not the best deal, but it was the only 3 door with that spec. and colour I could find in the uk....very happy with it.
