Audi FREE mot and fixed price servicing

Just noticed that Audi are now offering fixed price servicing and free mot to cars over 3 years old! Anyone taken them up on this offer? I am quite intrigued especially as living in central London my experience with audi dealerships has been that they are extremely expensive! (although not saying they aren't good)

I noticed that when i was in for some bodywork warranty stuff last month. £199 for a service that my usual independant quoted £380 for is a no brainer really.

Although, looking at the small print, their opinion of a major service is my idea of an interim service.

Fixed Price Servicing - first service on an A3 Sportback Quattro SLine at an Northants Dealer = £260

This translates to 1.1 units labour at £105/hr (which they offered to discount to £85/hr) and rest is parts (Oil, oil filter, sump washer and pollen filter)

Must say I never plan to use a dealer - booked in at www.autops.co.uk - far better value and less chance of the YTS Spanner to get his hands on it.

I'd agree with the comments about their full service, it does seem a bit "spartan" to say the least.

Personally I've found a independant ex audi mechanic who is very good and I prefer to use him for my S3 after my experiences with some main dealers.

The fixed price servicing is NOT for cars under 3yrs old and sounds like they do feck all for the fixed price...oil and filter and a check over

It's for cars over 3 years old. I am pressuming this is the case as most cars might need additional work which is where they will make some extra money.

Quoting from the Audi site:
"Privately owned Audi vehicles over 36 months old from date of registration. Up to and including 2.0 litre engines for A2, A3, A4, A6 and TT"
