As above. Started happening this evening. Sounds a little bit rough but no smoke or coolant loss etc. Gets to about 3k and wants to go but just wont. Dumpvalve is working fine and it does seem to load the boost but not seem to let go. Sitting at idle it will free rev fine. Any ideas or suggestions would be great. Thanx

Maf sensor or boost leak would be the first things I'd look for.

Defo if the engine management light aint on is a boost leak or faulty maf. Try unplugging the maf ( electronicly ) and see if it make a differance . Check ALL the small hoses under the inlet mani and check the hoses in and out of the intercooler.

No engine management light. Been on the VW forums and everything is pointing at MAF sensor. Im guessing it doesnt help because the previous owner fitted a pipercross induction kit.

Dont think its 1 viper 1 mate. Ran the car and it was still really hesitant and seems to make the exhaust vibrate alot. The car is still holding back on the boost. Unplugged the maf sensor and everything was still the same. Put the maf sensor back in and the car stalled but started easily on the key.
