Hi,

I want to get a lead to connect my i-phone to the stereo in my MK5 Golf. (standard stereo)

The Denison kit is too expensive, and I'm not bothered about being able to control the volume/ tracks from the stereo or anything fancy - I just want a cheap way to get my music on my car stereo.

Does anyone know what kind of lead I would need? I'm not sure what the connection to the stereo would be, eg phono / jack etc

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

I don't own a Golf, however I assume it is just a 3.5mm input?

In which case you need one of these

Beware the connectors that have the ipod fitment (which connects to charge the phone/transfer music) as they are not all compatible with the iPhone, found this out to my peril, and had to buy a "Scosche" adaptor too..

Thanks for the reply, but the stereo hasn't got a mini jack input.

I'm looking for a lead which will plug into the back of the stereo, ie a mini jack on one end, and the connector to plug into the back of the stereo at the other end.

Then I can drill a hole in the dash and have the mini jack ready to plug the iphone into...

Get a Connects2 unit off ebay. £25 - £40 for an aux-in, I should think.
