Audi remote key replacement
Discussion
Good morning!
I've just bought a 1998 4.2l A8, which is lovely. It comes with a standard remote key and a spare non-remote key (And an odd plastic spare too!)
The master key works fine, but the casing is very worn and the keyring attachment doesn't work, so I just have the "pellet" in my pocket and am terrified of losing it!
Is there any way of transplanting my key innards and blade into a new casing? Obviously doens't need re-programming, just need new case.
Ta in advance!

I've got a spare one - from a 2001 TT Roadster, not sure if it's the same...
Like this but a bit more OEM! If you want to get rid I may be interested

what makes it valet/service - cheap to replace if they lose it?
Normally (on BMW's anyway) they open and start the car, but won't open locked glovebox (and maybe boot?) IIRC.Gassing Station | Audi, Seat, Skoda & VW | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
