Hi All,

Does anyone know what the service intervals are for an RS4 06 reg?

So far the car that I'm interested in has had only one service since new which was @19000 and expecting an service now @36000... This seems odd but can anyone confirm if this is correct?

Also the car has had 6 owners since new and I would be the 7th, should be concerned about this or is this expected as this is a high performance car?

Thx in advance

Most VWs/Audis are on long life service (every 2 years or 20,000 miles). But the RS4 may have variable servicing which depends on how you drive etc. Sounds about right does that service history. Post pics of the car if you get it.

Raj can you describe the car to me?

Sounds like a 'well used' example that was offered around the trade recently.

mafia, the RS4 is serviced around every 18,000 miles (or two years). However, there's a service indicator, so the service interval will alter slightly, depending on how you drive it. smile

OK, it may or may not be the same car but 6 owners rang a bell to one that looked like it hadn't been very well loved.

RS4s with a high number of owners are common but do be careful.

Very much so Andy, it's silly at the moment. I've probablhy got 7-8 names down of buyers ready to go on RS4s but we simply cannot get the stock.

There's still the 'enthusiast' seller out there with a nice car asking what he/she thinks it's worth rather than its market value but if you keep your eye open you'll see that proper cars at keen money sell very quickly.

We were lucky last month and had 5 nice, low mileage and clean saloons (after months of nothing) and all bar the black one sold straight away. The black one took a week simply because we didn't have a name down for someone looking for a black/black/black car.

Each car once sold probably had another 6/7 interested phone calls after it had gone.

Prices are staying firm too, 32 grand for a nice saloon.

how much for an 07/07 high spec car with 13k miles? retail v private

to the OP - 6 owners is a lot IMHO and would put me off. RS4 is on AVS but 18k would be a max so lots of motorway driving. Worht noting that if you do low mileage, lots of urban driving and Use the full performance of the car AUDI recommend annusal service schedule not AVS.

In my opinion no RS4 should run on AVS or at least an extra oil chnage should occur between services.

My 2006 RS4 AS FOLLOWS>

First service 11000 miles

Due its second now at 18000 miles.

Lot of town driving though, press the spanner button on the dash and it will tell you when next service is due.

Glad prices have levelled out at one stage they were losing 1100 quid a month!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awesome car love mine to bits..

Not sure I follow your question re. paperwork.

When you pick up the car from new Audi are supposed to ask you which schedule you want to be on. They never do and put you down on AVS. You then poke them in the eye, explain this is an RS4 not a diesel A3 and you want to be on annual services.
Mine had first one at 12 months on 6k miles and second at 24 months at 12k miles.
I do not know what the services normally cost (2nd one included brake fluid) as I do not pay - I am on Audi's good valueFixed Cost Maintenance plan - £18 per month for service/all parts/tyres

Er... no Audi has this service interval!?! definitely not an RS4

The pollen filter should be replace at this time/millage, but thats about it.

Typically we see RS4's doing around 14k before the light comes on. If you are considering going on fixed, it isn't a bad idea, although I would be happy with AVS myself.

Possibly a sniff more if it's really proper - tis a bit of a piece of string question as most private sellers ask daft money.

Seems to me most dealers ask daft money! (Maybe everyone just asks daft money)

Dang and blast it, sounds like I traded out at the wrong time. Seems if I'd held on just a couple more months I may have been able to have got a bit more for my car than I did.

Still back to the OP. Mine was on variable service but I still serviced it a bit more often, especially if it been abused a little during the summer.

Unless they know some sort of trick that I don't then they won't sell at (some of those) prices. There are a few well known examples of cars that have been sitting on forecourts for a LONG time with silly numbers on the sticker.
