Anyone here run an S6 (C6)?

A mate has the saloon as a loaner at the moment. His first words were "My God. It's a widowmaker". So fast he thought it would take off; managed to get the traction control working in the dry whilst on a slight bend.
Build quality is "amazing". On balance, I think he's a big fan.
His regular drive is an S8. I'll try to get a bit more from him this w/end.
FWIW, the Avant was the only car left on my list of "cars that are all things to all men" after I'd been through it a few times.

Yes, I own one and have done for about 8 months.
It has just gone 3 years old and all I can say is that after owning numerous nice and fast cars, this is by some margin the most complete car I have had.
Fast but very deceptive. It's really only when you look at the speedo that you have an idea of how quickly it gains speed. It sounds wonderful and in my opinion is just the right volume, not too loud and not too quiet.
Running costs have been okay, just MOT's and needed 2 tyes which weren't cheap but fuel consumption has been a revelation.
I just drove back from Heathrow to Yorkshire and according to the computer averaged 27.6. I am really chuffed with this from a car with such an engine.
It looks discreet, everyone who goes in it loves it and I would recommend one in an instant.
