Hi,

How much do you think a mechanic would charge to change an oil cooler?

Cheers

I'm afraid!

What car? What parts need changing? Is it a solo oil cooler or part of the radiator? Does the bumper need to be removed for access?

If it's the Golf in your profile I beleive it has an oil-water cooler (collar around the oil filter housing) so you'd need to change the oil at the same time.

Yes, its a 97 golf 1.9 td. There is oil in the coolent, from the research that i've done I'm led to think it is the oil cooler.

If it's the same as a GTI one you're probably looking at 1.5 hours to change plus parts (new cooler and oil/filter).

Takes about 40 mins to fit, and 40 hours flushing the coolant.

HELP!

I've drained the oil and removed the filter, but how do I actually remove the oil cooler?

Thanks in advance
