R8 V8 or V10

Hi guys, starting to think about my next car and like the whole R8 thing. Car will be White or Red with full carbon packs.... but just wondering V8 or V10?

Logic tells me to go for the 'daddy', but sometimes I've found lesser powered models are the better driving experience.

Anyone got any experience of both??

Depends what your car history is, honestly I'd buy a second hand R8 and save a bundle of money. The performance difference between the two will not be noticed in the real world IMO. The V8 sounds amazing anyway, was behind one today. Probably the best looking car on the road, made a great growl as it turned away. I'd go for the red as that is the next 'it' colour and unlike white it won't look odd once the craze has gone. The white is most definitely out of style but still suits the R8, just not as well now. Go for it, you won't regret it, truly amazing cars all round.

Since you have a Lambo, I would ask the question in the Ferrari/Lambo section, then at least you will hear from people who may have considered the car with a similar background to you.

It might be worth having a word with Cedric, he has two 430 suds and an R8 V10. He will be on CS

I got a one year old V8 R8 5 weeks ago with 9K miles. List price £94K, I paid £65K. They really are great bargains used.

I have heard that the V10 is not as nimble as the V8 due to increased weight but have never driven one.
