B8 S4 Ownership
Discussion
It looks like Audi are offering a deposit contribution of £5k on a new S4 if purchased via their PCP scheme; however, does anyone know whether that's over and above any discounts available from a dealer and if so roughly what sort of dealer discounts are achievable on factory order S4's at the moment? A double digit dealer discount plus a £5k finance deposit contribution could make a new S4 Avant an interesting proposition!

The deposit contribution is 50% funded by dealer, 50% by Audi finance. So any discount you negotiate with a dealer is likely to take that £2500 into account. 13% off list including all options, plus £2500 finance contribution from Audi Finance is achievable. Try carwow for quotes or carfile.net for a broker.

I have just put an order in taking advantage of the finance offer. Managed nearly this again off the car going via carwow/Broadspeed/drivethedeal and then tweaking a few offers. Ended up with just over 18% off in total
Thanks Silentbrown and Chiefbadger! I was contemplating an S4 last year but there weren't any decent deals to be had and, as I was looking at around 20k miles/annum, I ended-up going for a new 335d Touring instead. It's competent enough but I've not really managed to bond with it and still hanker after an S4; sounds like the deals on those are now more attractive but, despite getting almost 25% off the 335d, I fear the pasting I'd no doubt take on that would scupper a change in the short-term. Still, costs nothing to find out and you never know!

Definitely worth a look. I am chopping in my 2014 A6 ultra BE avant and have lost very little. Put 6k deposit in last year and am taking out 4.5k as equity. I think buying new gets a bad rep! I looked at a 335d btw but despite the power I just didn't get on with it. Also had such awful service from my local BMW dealer that it put me right off.

Bought a new A1 for the other half last November and might have a chat with the salesman who supplied that as we got a pretty good deal from him. However, I'm not desperate to unload the 335d at any price; it's a very good car and, although it's not quite my cup of tea, I'd live with it for a while longer rather than give it away!I looked at a 335d btw but despite the power I just didn't get on with it. There's imminent changes to the S4 spec for MY2016 (i.e. from May this year, I think). The price rises £350, but Nav is included, which equates to a saving of around £800 depending on model. http://www.pdf-archive.com/2015/04/03/model-year-2...silentbrown said:

Thanks, useful information! To be honest, though, I thought the A4 was due to be replaced this year which is one of the reasons I was reluctant to pay top dollar for one in the latter half of last year; however, if there's now a 2016 MY announced when is the current A4 scheduled to be phased out?!JNW1 said:

I *guess* the 'B9' car will be launched at Frankfurt (September this year ) with first customer cars delivered Q1 2016. That's typically bog-standard saloons only though. 'S' and 'RS' models usually follow on a year or so later, so Q1 2017 maybe, if you're lucky.Cupramax said:

I don't get the Audi Configurator on these - where is the option for B&O and DAB??
Dab is standard on the normal S4 and so is B&O if its a Black edition your configuring...Also, are there any OEM sports exhaust options?
Cheers

Ah ok thanks, so what do you gain/lose by ticking Audi Symphony on the config?

Symphony adds an old-skool in-dash 6-CD changer. Incompatible with Nav, and because Nav will shortly be standard I expect will be dropped. Also, are there any OEM sports exhaust options?

No OEM exhaust upgrades. Milltek seems to be the de-facto choice.
