I might be the only person here, but I bought an S4 and don't get on with it at all. It's currently up for sale if anyone is looking.

interesting to know what don't you like about it. I have to say, i won't say it is the best car in the market right now, but it does everything really well. I have been having mine for 5 years now. The only thing i miss from my BMW was the RWD handling.

Funny you should mention BMW as I had a 5 series E39 Sport before the Audi and absolutely loved that car.

I don't know what it is about the Audi. It's obviously a good car but I can't get used to it. The driving position is all weird, I don't like the feel of the steering and it's a manual where I miss the auto box of my Bimmer dearly!

Good choice. Had one in my '09 car and moved it straight into the boot of the new one.

Should I be worried that on the My Audi site the sports seats are missing from the spec shown on the site?

Is anyone able to confirm what MMI this is in a facelift S4? I think its MMI 3G Plus (part of Tech Pack High?) so would be HDD based, correct?

It'll be 3G+, HDD based. May or may not have Audi Connect, which gives Google satellite maps. DVD Nav hasn't been an option for a few years now.

More importantly it appears to have drive select wink

Ah according to the 2012 brochure I downloaded with the tech pack low you still got DVD based Nav, but looking at the buttons behind the gearlever they do seem to be the HDD based one. It didn't have a SIM slot between the SD cards though so I think that means no Audi Connect?

And yes, full drive select and diff, may or may not be picking it up on Friday biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

That'll be a fairly major change from the B5!

On later cars there's still basically 2 systems - if you have 'jukebox' as a media choice then it's defo HDD. If you have a DVD slot and x2 SD cards, but no jukebox, it could be MMI 3G Basic which runs off the DVD slot in the dash or can be transferred to one of the SD card slots.

Wow, wonder why? it is just a great engine? it is so tunable. do you think it will help to hold the value of the B8 for the supercharger fanatics?

Right now prices on anything well specified seem to be pretty firm. They're awesome cars and they don't make them anymore.

Likely well year or so before there's a B9 S4 on the road in the UK so very probably a large price gap between the last of the 'old' and the first of the 'new'.

B5? Not me, jumping to/from the dark side as I currently have a 130i BMW smile

Thanks so from that I take it that it could still be MMI Basic then, will have to confirm on Friday as the ad said Tech Pack High (which I thought = MMI plus) and it had the joystick on the MMI wheel, but also mentioned DVD Sat Nav. I just didnt know what exactly to look for and the viewing was at short notice so didn't have time to investigate. Not too worried really, main thing was finding one with the diff and S Tronic, that it was a facelift one and a good price sealed the deal nicely regardless of the rest of the spec.

D'oh! Doing my usual thing and confusing people I've met through the site with someone with a similar username!

Check under 'media' for the jukebox option as thats unique to the HDD nav smile
