That seems to be the same as a centre box delete, which I read up on and dismissed as everyone is saying it's too loud and the drone is really bad.

Why is there no option for updated back boxes only?

Go to any decent exhaust fabricators and they can make backbones up for you dependent on your requirements.

Ok so I’m looking to buy some 19" Segments in the next week or so.

Anyone got any for sale? Or seen any that seem a good deal?

What is the fitment code for a 2010 B8 S4 Avant?

I’m ideally after a cheaper kerbed set as I want them refurbished and sprayed anthracite.

Thanks smile

Ok great, thanks for that!

So I've found some wheels, they are 8.5x19 5x112 ET42

They come are fitted with 245/35/19 tyres

I’ve been told they will fit perfectly, but are they OEM fitment, or will they sit weird, I don’t want them to look aftermarket.

Standard tyres on 19" Segments would be 255/35, so those are a little small. ET42 offset is off by 1mm, but that's unlikely to make a difference. So I guess they are aftermarket ones?

Wipers ordered, thank you!

The exhaust note on my standard S4 avant is lovely, just a little too quiet, without spending £1,500 on a full cat back system, is there anything I can do to improve it a little for reasonable ££
Speak to Nige at BCS Powervalve. Back box replacement, with a little more bark, nicer tailpipes too.

Ended up buying some genuine Segment wheels in the correct fitment from Germany with 255/35/19 tyres, so all OEM.

They are the lovely Grey/anthracite colour too, so should look great, just got to wait for the delivery now ears

I forgot to look at this last night - if you want the actual part number I can look it up tonight? Alternatively TPS or local dealer will be able to tell from looking on Etka with no trouble - there aren't many 19" wheel options and they're obvious in the line drawings

Thanks both, I ended up ordering some just before either of you replied, 60MM seems to be the most common fitment, just got to hope, if not I will return them and it will give me an indication of what size is needed.

Thanks smile

Checked tonight for you and the current part number is 8T0601170A 7ZJ (last bit is just a colour code) £25.32 RRP each

They're common to all the 19" wheel fitments and also about 3 of the 18" options smile

Perfect, thank you, seems the 60mm ones I ordered would be no good so just ordered some based on the part code above, 69MM apparently.

Didn’t pay anywhere near £25 each for them though eek

I'm looking at a S4 Saturday, so will be interested in your winter wheels.

Please could you send me some pics/details/price.

Don't suppose anyone has some roof bars going spare?

Thanks,
Andy

Hi all,

The S4 doesn't have a brake wear indicator does it? I.e on the screen, pretty sure it doesn't.

My discs must be badly warped as they are very grumbly under heavy braking.

-What sort of cost should I be looking at for front discs & pads? Audi are £445 fixed pricing.
-I assume the standard ones are fine? I don't want noisy/squealing brakes, or ones that take a while to heat up/work.

Thanks

I changed my front disc/ pad for £4xx something back in January. Can't remember the exact figure. The standard one are fine for daily useage, but if you track it or enjoy heavy braking then, I would suggest you need an upgrade.

It does have a wear indicator on the front and pretty sure the handbrake mechanism reports when the rear pads are getting thin too

Mine currently has EBC slotted discs and Redstuff pads all round. The Pads do need a little heat to be at their best but still perform well in general driving conditions. Nowhere near as grabby as the oem pads but depends what you prefer. For the front I paid £295 for discs and pads + £60 for someone to fit them for me.
