Low Tyre Pressure Warning Light on
Discussion
The tyre pressures are fine , but the light is on and won't reset. The car is booked in for a service & first MOT next month. Am I OK to leave it until then? I had two new fron tyres fitted last week, but had done 100 miles before the light came on yesterday afternoon.

Press and hold the Set button until the light goes out. The light has come on because the rolling radius of the wheels have changed with the new tyres. Hope that helps.
I've tried pressing and holding the set button, but the light comes on again as soon as I release the buttonEdited by VAG1 on Monday 22 February 18:45

It's indicating a fault then. It could actually be a fault you haven't picked on. Like a small nail in the tyre, give them a thorough looking over.
If that was the case, the car would need to be moving before the light came back on.Edited by VAG1 on Tuesday 23 February 00:00
If the light comes back on as soon as you reset it, it sounds like a fault with the system.

Ok I just sat in a friends GTI and he has a similar problem. I held the button and initially the light goes out and comes back on, what you're experiencing? That's normal and you hold it until you hear a bong and it should go out.
I'll try that tomorrow. How long do you need to hold it down before you hear the bong?Do you need the engine running?
