Found another mystery socket!. Under the bonnet on the loom near the alternator. Its another white 4 pin. Any ideas thanks.
Hi EGB, what you have got to remember is the wiring loom in and around the engine compartment is mainly stock Land Rover, therefore there will be the odd socket for something when used in a Range Rover for example. I have the same in my Griff. Actually my Land Rover Defender has unused multi pin sockets in the engine compartment, I used some last year when fitting a rear wiper and heated screen (universal loom for all fitments). Hope that was helpful, Pete.

Thanks Peter. Will check it out with a volt meter. Could be used for an under bonnet light or something, what ever!.

I know I'm in the wrong forum, mine has a boot. But, if I were to find the connectors with nothing in them, if I then trace them back to the fusebox and there are no interruptions or diversions between them and the fuse (which I expect to be blank), this wiring could logically be removed???
