Anyone have part number(s) for a 5.0ltr Griff oil filter please?
I assume you can pick them from a regular Halfords shelf?

Cheers Lazy Use a Land Rover outlet. I use the same in my Griff as in my Land Rover Defende! Just look online in Land Rover outlets, the same filter fits the Range Rover 3.9, 4.2, 4.9 etc as well as the Defender variants. I buy the Coopers filters by the pack of 10 for both vehicles, last batch cost me about £32 delivered! Don't forget you will need a new sump plug copper sealing washer. All the best, Pete

Thanks chaps, very helpful as ever. PeteGriff said: Don't forget you will need a new sump plug copper sealing washer. Where do I get them from ? Having said that, I've got a new Steve Heath magnetic sump plug ready to go in so I probably don't need a new sump plug copper sealing washer??

No you don't. Got my filters here: http://www.paddockspares.com/err3340g-oil-filter-g...Cheap for genuine LR filters, although I've got a fibreglass filter on the pre cat now but it don't fit the 500 - too long FFG

Not a bad guess Paul. I just plopped the Z1159 Coopers version of ERR3340 onto the bench and measured it at 107mm or 10.7cm or 4.3/16" I just wanted an excuse to be in the garage for a bit

Great filters and at the price they are an oil & filter change more frequently is no excuse. Regards, Pete

You're right Lazyitus, fit the SH sump plug and forget the copper washer. Alternatively you get them from any LR dealer or an indie working on Landys. You can anneal them too apparently, though I've never tried it.

FlipFlopGriff said: What's on it now? Dunno, not been near the car in the last few days. Will check but from memory it seemed to be the same sort of length as the new one I bought yesterday. I'm sure it will be. Barreti said: lazyitus said: Where do I get them from ? Me again. Just out of interest, where would I source a copper ring for the sump plug? My Steve Heath magnetic plug didn't fit properly for some reason ( we tried, believe me, we tried ) so ended up putting the old plug back in and didn't have a spare copper ring.

Hi there, its a Land Rover part as used on Defender 200Tdi, 300Tdi, V8, also Range Rover Classic. I use the same one as I keep for my Defender 90, regards, Pete

A good car accesory shop should have a good selection of solid copper sump washers to fit the bill.
