i hope so,

have to remember that as I live near the welsh hills, I do need to consider the "wet road" scenario perhaps more than some who live further south.....

+1 here. I really like the Gotti wheels on my 4.3 Pre-Cat. I am going to treat them to a full strip down refurb over the next couple of months. A specialist near me in Colchester has quoted £288 for all 4, tyres off, strip down clean up wheel, powder coat and lacquer. Saw some examples and they were a great finish. Rgds, Pete
that is pretty resonable...i must stop spendingh though, after the front end respray, roof retrim etc....I can see this winter costing me 1500 already

I put Toyo 245s on rear simply because they were much cheaper. paperbag
Couldn't tell the difference on the road.

PS, amil gottis are the way forward; beautiful, simple design that's a cinch to clean.

If you like the look of the gottis but want a bit wider, try MO5's,very similar imho and available in wider rims to suit cossys etc. I just bought a cheap set of these for trackdays

Are the R1R`s classed as a road legal/trackday tyre ,been trolling the net trying a find a cheaper alternitive but there all like the R888`s

Been looking on the Federal website ,there extreme performance tyre is more like a R888 (595RS-R) but they have a range called performance series ,im trying to work out if they are a road legal tack day tyre or just a sporty road tyre like te falken 452`s or Toyo T1r..

http://www.federaltire.com/en/products.php

There must be more soft tyres with a deep tread .

rir are road legal, a "wet friendly" version of the 888, though they are harder, and less sticky. i have both in the garage, the r1r and rsr id say are all weather road biased track tyres, whereas the 888 are track biased dry weather track tyres.
