If you are still looking for the joystick for the mirror operation, then the Rover SD1 fitment is the correct one. It comes on a facia plate, with the crossover switch attached, as in the photo. The top of the joystick pulls off and then you unscrew the collar underneath and it will come out (same way to remove original from door, but you have to take the door card off first). It has a little multiplug on the bottom, same as yours, so it is a straight swap- once you've got that bloody door card off!!
The crossover switch is different. There is just a left and right, no neutral position. It has just 5 pin connections, not 6 spade connections as on yours. Maybe it can be adapted, I don't know, but I think you have bought the correct one anyway?
I bought mine off Ebay, after reading this thread and have working mirrors again!

Anyone still looking for the toggle switch, Unipart BRC 9150, I have just obtained the last new/old stock genuine Rover one at INRACING at a price. However, the very helpful guy there sent me this:-

Your switch console will leave first class in the morning.
We can supply further units @ £67.90 plus carriage and VAT.
With regards,

Not cheap. Hopefully I can recoup something from the Rover crowd for the new two way switch that comes fitted to the 'console' but will not fit the Chimaera. See attached.
Regards
Steve
