whats the upshot on this. is it just engine bay temperature or is there any additional crackle pop flame bonus ?
I know when my car is really angry and hot after some hooning shes always more likely to spit and fart cos the zorst is all super hot, it follows in my mind that if the zorst cant radiate the heat away its even hotter in there and so more of the crash and bang will be induced.

thoughts ?

I had my exhausts coated a couple of years ago. I don't think it made any difference to the crackling and popping. As you say when it is hot it already makes some pops. My guess is that it won't do any more crackles etc until there is more unburned fuel in the exhausts, regardless of how hot it is. Getting more unburned stuff in to the exhausts is more to do with how rich the engine is running rather than the exhaust temperature.

I could be completely wrong though!
