Need some new rear tyres to replace my TOYO PROXES T1-R 245/45 r16's which I really like. Appears Toyo no longer produce these tyres.

I've just ordered some Bridgestone S02's and they get a good rating here : http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyres_For/TVR/griffit...

Anyone any other options ? Bridgestones S02s get general approval ?

They are still listed on Toyos website, just sometimes in short supply. Not much point suggesting others if you've already ordered some. I've just put R1R's on and they still like st to a blanket - very impressed. Just odd sizings and only V rated in my sizes.

I have tried a number of places & appears zero stock. I wanted to stay TOYO front & rear if possible but have waited for Demontweeks for a month & still no signs of stock.

If anyone knows of proxies being available, please let me know asap

I've been away for a long time, but does Andy Race no longer stock them?

I am considering either Toyo R1Rs or Yoko AD08s next time around. I am leaning towards to the AD08s as you get a full 8mm of tread where R1Rs is only 6mm.

Its always been a problem with Toyo. They seem to send a ship over with a batch and don't re-order until there are none left so there is then a 6-8 week gap when there are none.
I bought when I knew I was about 6/7 months away from needing them and then store them until needed.

AFAIK the SO2s are not correct for our cars because the sidewall is too hard?? You need the now discontinued SO2 PP (pole position) which I had as original fitment.

Yep. The review in the OP's post is seven years old and mentions that you couldn't buy them then.
